Claiming the Boxing World is "Ducking" Him, While Calling Out Jr. Middles...According to Ann Wolfe, they've Been Offered a Bout w/Golovkin (Which they've DECLINED), After Golovkin's Next Fight...If it's Honestly THAT Difficult (Which REED Doubts) to Get Guys in the Ring w/Golovkin, he Needs to Look Towards the Division ABOVE his, Not BELOW...

I agree. Guys like Mayweather and Cotto aren't going to fight him. 160 is a wasteland. If he can't get a fight with Joonyah or Martinez he should look at super middle. He's not ready for Ward yet but there are a lot more names.

Some GGG Fanboy is Claiming he KO'ed Kovalev "Out Cold" In Sparring...THEN, when Presented w/Less than Impressive Sparring Footage vs. Chavez Jr., from Wildcard, Said GGG was Trying to Be "Respectful" to the Gym:scared:...

someone posted a video of kovalev allegedly being KOd in amateurs. really edited and chopped so you couldnt tell who it was and what really happened.

i dunno about golovkin sparring kovalev but it appeared like he was easily slapping chavez jr around in the sparring footage i saw. what was less than impressive about it?

When Juxtaposed w/the Assertion of GGG Knocking Kovalev "Out Cold", the OBVIOUS Question is, Why Didn't You Do Jr. the Same Way???...GGG Got the Better of Jr. but he DIDN'T Look like a Guy who KO'ed Kovalev, in an Earlier Session...

agREED on the Chavez Jr. part. The video I saw, Chavez Jr. looked like a Pez dispenser. GGG handled him easy. You would have thought Chavez was the hired help.

Perhaps REED confused the two...GGG is the shorter guy in the video.

what i saw was one guy dominating another guy. and doing so in a manner to where it would be hard to imagine the guy getting the worse of it, chavez jr, being able to do anything differently in a real fight.

i dunno anything about golovkin sparring kovalev. i dont know who made that claim. from what i understand Abel Sanchez has Golovkin working on his skill and technique in sparring and he doesnt even want him looking to hurt guys with power shots.

If You were Being Sold the Premise of GGG "KO'ing" Kovalev in Sparring, Wouldn't YOU Expect a Somewhat SIMILAR Result when he Sparred Jr???...Especially Considering the # of Times he HIT him???:dunno:...

I agree with Neil, nothing unimpressive about Gaybox sparring JR. He schooled him about in 1 sided fashion just like you'd expect, effortlessly.

In & Of Itself, YES, it's Impressive...But when You Witness it Under the Parameters REED Did (AFTER Hearing Some GGG Nuthugger JUST Claim he "Knocked Kovalev OUT COLD" in Sparring), It WASN'T as Impressive...

In my honest opinion, I don't think anyone at 160 is ducking GGG, I just think they want to be VERY well paid for entering the ring with him. You know what is frustrating is that many fighters are too obsessed with money and don't want to lay it all on the line to prove themselves. I know it may sound quite cliché, but is it not true?

Fuck laying it all on the line. Look at Magomed Abdulasamov . This ain't no video game homie. Lives are at stake. Treat this sport like a bank job. Get the money and get out.

I know that and in some cases tragedy strikes and it's awful, but boxing really has become too much about money.

Actually, let me rephrase that, many fighters have become greedy.

True, but a big problem boxing has had for a while is attitudes towards losses. If a fighter's stock didn't take such a nose dive after one I think they would be much more willing to take risks. If a fighter figures that if he's not only going to lose, but will have a hard time getting a good payday or opportunity in the near future they and their manager(s) are going to be much more careful.

This was Basically REED's Response to the Guy...For Instance, if Golovkin is Expecting Sergio Martinez to Take the SHORT End of the Purse, REED Doesn't Blame Martinez @ All for "Ducking" GGG...REED's Final Response was, "If I Offer Floyd Mayweather a Contract for $5 & he Turns it Down, is Floyd 'Ducking' Me?"

Yeah, I agree with you. I think a promoter's prized possession is matched too well most of the time, and when the going gets tough for that fighter then certain controversies pop up. Let's take Ricky Burns for example - he's with Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport now. When Burns fought Ray Beltran, Beltran clearly won, yet it was called a draw. That's too much of a coincidence. The vast majority of fans believed Beltran did MORE than enough to win the fight, yet he was jobbed. I hate controversies in boxing, but we get them so often.

I get the feeling that Hearn likes to play his cards close to his chest, if you get me. Hearn loves to get opponents to travel to the UK and wins the coin toss practically most of the time.

    I hope I didn't waffle on

I get ya. Regarding a possible GGG-Martinez fight, you'd expect team Martinez to be making the demands and team GGG to kindly accept what's offered, tbh.

Sometimes I think an undefeated record in a pro boxer's career is bad for both them and in many cases the sport.

Even if a guy lost his 3rd pro fight in a 6 round split decision on an off night that pressure is relieved to a certain extent. Today when a fighter with even the smallest amount of hype behind them loses their '0' the first word we hear screamed is "EXPOSED!".

It's not always unwarranted however. Their have been "frauds" in boxing with ridiculously padded records and even corruption aiding the cause.

Loads of fans reacted in anger at the prospect of Kirkland being a future opponent for GGG. Tbh, why? It would be a fan-friendly fight!

    too right.

I hope the Martin Murray fight happens this year. Murray truly believes that he'd beat GGG. I just wish he'd just shut the fuck up and sign on the dotted line and fight him.
