For Example, Some Say Norton had Ali's Number...Some Say Tarver had Roy's Number...Some Say Forrest had Sugar Shane's Number...But in Every Case, Ali, Roy & Shane would Be Considered GREATER...Of the Fighters that Fall Into the Category of "Had So & So's Number", Who's THE BEST/GREATEST???...
Hard to answer as on one hand there is the historical perspective of who is greater, and also in head to head matchups timing and so on is also a matter of opinion. Nevertheless drunken ones that first come to mind: Holyfield-Tyson Bowe-Holyfield Mayorga-Forrest Barerra-Morales Jones-Tszyu Taylor-Hopkins Sanders-Klitschko
Can't agree with Holy-Tyson and Barrera-Morales since in both cases it is very debatable which one is the greater fighter. Otherwise solid picks, assuming 'Jones' is 'Phillips' in drunken Canadian:: Bowe vs Holyfield is a tricky one though since while Holyfield was obviously the greater fighter, prime Bowe was perhaps better than prime Holyfield
AGREED w/your Takes on Holy-Tyson, Barrera-Morales...REED Thinks Bowe is a GREAT Example, Because Holyfield was GREATER, Even @ Heavy, in REED's Opinion...& Yes, Whiskey's 1 DRUNK, Canadian Motherfucker...
i'd say it's either bowe or forrest. forrest was a great fighter who never got the opportunity in time. wasn't he like 30 when he first fought shane?
I didn't read the title properly first time around.. I guess it probably is. Marquez is definitely the best/greatest fighter who a greater fighter couldn't beat, both leagues better (imo) than Shane or DLH (for instance)
Tarver didn't have shit! We all know the circa 94-00 Jones would've beaten the Hell outta him. It had nothing to do with him having Roy's #.
Tarver had a guy permanently altered by weight gain and weight loss in front of him... It was plain to see Jones was not JONES when they fought... This isn't revisionism on my part... I said that shit during the fight and I said it during the rematch
