Yeah, REED Isn't Convinced Jay Williams Would've Been an ELITE Level PG in the League...Top 10-15 for Sure, but Not Much More than That...
dont really see the analogy of comparing horry to oneal with wallace/webber. 3 of the 4 were capable of being and actually were go to guys that their teams ran the offense through. horry was never that type of guy. its like bringing Steve Kerr into the mix and saying he's more clutch than McGrady. i listed the traits each guy had and which was a strength of wallace's game as opposed to webbers. clutch shot making, edge clearly to wallace.
But Your Assessment is Completely DISREGARDING Sheed's Sheer UNPREDICTABILITY...The Technical Fouls, the Ejections, the FACT that he'd Readily Park his 7ft Ass on the PERIMETER for Most of the Game, Hurling 3's...You're Looking @ Sheeds POTENTIAL, but What he Actually DID Does Not Measure Up to What Chris Webber ACTUALLY DID...It's Not Even Worthy of Debate, Really...Sheed was NEVER "The Man" on a Team, he was Always 1 of MANY Pieces to a Puzzle...
wallace was the man on the portland team that got exactly as far as any of webbers teams ever got in the post season
wallace was the go-to guy for portland. their top player. Its debatable who the better player was, depending on what youre looking for. If Im building a team i take wallace. I prefer a big man who has a low post game, can defend the post, and blocks shots. all things wallace did better. While webber had other parts of his game that were better as i stated previously, they are not necessarily things i need from the 4 or 5 position. aside from rebounding.
It's as if You DIDN'T Watch Webber Play, Neil...Wallace had More Low Post MOVES, but he RARELY Utilized them...He was More Content Hurling Up 3's from the Perimeter & Getting FEWER Boards per Game than Any 6'11 Player Should...Webber was STRONGER in the Post, More ATHLETIC in the Post & Actually PLAYED Down Low More Frequently than Sheed Cared To....Sheed was a Better Post DEFENDER for Certain...Again, You're Looking @ POTENTIAL, but Based on What Each Man Actually DID in his Career, Chris Webber CLEARLY had the BETTER Career...
Ive seen webber play plenty. webber had better numbers for his career. cant deny it. chris bosh has better numbers than wallace too, though. like i said it depends what you are lookin for from a particular player. do i think sacramento would have been as good with wallace instead of webber, in adelmans system? probably not. would detroit have won rings with webber instead of wallace? i dont think so
As Looooooong as Big BEN Wallace was There, REED Thinks Webber Would've Fit in NICELY in Detroit, in 'Sheeds Place...Offensively, those Pistons Squads were PERIMETER Oriented...Webber Would've Helped to BALANCE that Out...Sheed TEASED the Basketball World w/his Talent, but he NEVER Put it All Together, Statistically or Otherwise...
The Pacers Got SPANKED by the Suns the Other Night...Should Be Interesting to See how they Respond in Sacramento Tonight...
yup... I watched basketball a lot when I was a kid... Just kind of lost interest in it when I was 14 or 15... Last time I watched whole games was the '94 Finals I think somebody won tickets or something for the game... The other guys I remember from the game were Juwan Howard, Glenn Robinson and Donyell Marshall
Yeah, it was pretty cool Unfortunately, by the time these guys were making their mark in the NBA, I was no longer really following basketball so the significance of it never really sunk in I remember mentioning that I had been at that game to an avid basketball fan I knew years later and he was like "NO WAY!"
Yeah, that's HUGE Bro...The McDonald's Game Itself is Huge, but that Particular Year Had Quite Possibly THE Most Talented Roster Ever, in Terms of What the Guys Went on to Accomplish...Usually it's LeBron & Some Lesser Guys...Kobe & Some Lesser Guys...'91 was STOUT!!!...Hopefully you Saved that Ticket Stub...
Also known as Kyrie Sr. Grant Hill probably could have led a championship team, the others probably could not have
He didn't give up on basketball, just the NBA. He's a huge fan of the All-American Basketball Alliance that concentrates on the fundamentals.
:: I don't know why, I just lost interest in it at that point... Not a conscious decision, just sort of occurred to me that within a couple of years I no longer had any idea what was going on in basketball... I was really high at the time
Sooooo, TLC, Like REED has BEEN Saying All Along, Guys like DeMar DeRozan Come 8cents a Dozen in the NBA... Soooooooo MUCH So, Terrance Ross, from the SAME Toronto Raptors Squad that DeRozan Scored 40pts for on Wednesday, Dropped 51 Tonight...Ross is THE 1st Player in NBA History to Score 50 in a Game WITHOUT Averaging 10+ Points a Game... You Wanna Use LAUGHING Smiley's & BEAT your Chest Over That???...You STILL Wonder Why REED WASN'T Overly Impressed by DeRozan Getting 40???... Henceforth, Don't EVER Talk Shit to REED in a Hoop Debate Again, Motherfucker... REED:atu:
