i have a hard time rating Lennox over Marciano when Lennox lost to two guys he shouldn't have, and Rocky showed up prepared for every match and didn't lose to anyone he shouldn't have

obviously Lennox has the edge in quality of opposition.

 

I have a hard time even comparing two guys with 8 inches and 60lb between them. Lewis would swat rocky like a bug.

 

Rocky's an all-time great Cruiserweight... There are very few guys around 180-200 pounds that I think could beat him at his best, but he was small for 1955 never mind 1975 or 1995 or now

I'm far from a Klitshko fan but you have to put Wlad in the top 10 on achievements. Sure his opposition is putrid but so was the case with Joe Louis or Marciano

 

If you put Ruiz in a time machine, he would probably kick Marciano's ass.

what achievements? Louis lost to Schmeling in his prime, KO'd him in the rematch. Lost to Ezzard Charles & Rocky Marciano - two legendary fighters - when he was past his prime. Marciano's opposition sucked, but he never lost to any bums or aging fighters (I probably wouldn't put him on a top 10 list in any case, but I'd put him ahead of Wald Pussy).

Wald Pussy on the other hand has lost to Lamon Brewster, Corrie Sanders, and Ross Purritty IN HIS PRIME, plus went life and death fighting scared with a fat bum like Sam Peter.

 

So since Wlad ranks behind Louis he must not be in top-10?

Also, Brestwer, Sanders and Puritty fight were before Wlad's prime. That, or he hasn't fought as good a fighter as Puritty ever after 2005.

Wlad improved allot (at filthy escapology/cheating) under Steward and the Brewster loss was his very first fight with Manny. So basically yeah, his 'prime' does start a little after then. I'd say after the first Peters fight.

Yes he got more effective under Steward because of tactic changes but that has nothing to do with a physical prime.
