I absolutely refuse to believe that liquor is Kelly's ONLY vice.

I'd be pretty damn shocked if he WASN'T doing nose candy as well.

Why? Coke doesn't really do this to people, just makes them total arseholes and burns through money. Alcohol and heroin are generally far more destructive than coke.

Upon leaving the hospital, Kelly tweeted:

He then fell headlong into the bottom of a dry well, and had to be rescued by the local volunteer fire department. A long recuperation is anticipated. Mr. Pavlik was heard to whisper under his breath "Fuckin' Ohio", before lapsing into unconsciousness.

Agreed. It will cover any losses flowing from Floyds not being able to fight a 41 year old Kelly.

 

My experience is very different. Coke is so common in England, I've known a fuck load of people that have done it regularly. I'm not sure even 1 of those people's lives were consumed by coke.

Where as with heroin it's the opposite. I've known (or known of) a few junkies, and only one of them led a normal life with a job etc, the others lives were consumed by scag. I guess the word "junkie" is attributed to heroin addicts for a reason.

 

A lot of people do smack or strong opiates without ever getting addicted, either. Heroin might be more addictive, but if you're comparing a heroin addict to a coke addict, in purely physical terms - i.e, they don't need to wreck their lives over simply getting access to the drug - coke is more damaging to the mind and body. People also tend to have the perception that coke addicts are more functioning because coke addicts were more functioning to begin with - you need to be OK to afford large amounts of blow, whereas smack is cheap.

FWIW, in my misspent youth, I did both, more than a few times.. Not really a fan of either

Jaja, I echo the above. I know one guy who got into financial difficulty with coke but he didn't have much problem giving it up when things came to a head. Everyone else had no bothers. Jagging is a whole other ballpark.
