Yes Sir!!!... Bron & Durant will Always be COOL, but REED Detects the COMPETITIVE Side of their Relationship Coming to the Fore... Late Last Season, Durant Spoke of Being "Tired of Coming 2nd" & he's Definitely PERFORMED Like it, This Season...Since Durant's FANTASTIC January & OKC's CONVINCING Win in Miami, Bron's Stroked HIS OWN Ego More than we're Accustomed to, w/the Proclamation that HE WILL BE 1 of the Top 4 Players of All Time, when his Career is Over... Bron's Also Taken his Game to ANOTHER Level on this West Coast Road Swing...High 30's Against Phx & G-State, then 42 Tonight (His Looooooooongest Streak of 35+ Point Games as a Member of the Heat by the Way)...There's NOfuckingWAY he's Gonna Settle for 15-20 on Thursday...Meanwhile, Durant Rated his IRRITATION w/the Bron Comparisons (on a 1-10 Scale) as a 25...He Also Revealed that While Him and Bron are Cool & Work Out Together During the Summers, he's Actually CLOSER to Melo... Again, REED Sees the Hype & CERTAINTY of "Bron vs. Durant" Confrontations, & Both Guys DESIRE for the # 1 Spot in the League, Creating Some Competitive TENSION btwn these 2...& REED Absolutely Loooooooooooooooves it!!!... REED:hammert:
Westbrook is the ANTI-Rondo (as REED's Described him in his Recent Posts)...He's the Guy You Have to SAVE From HIMSELF... If REED's Coaching OKC, there's NOfuckingWAY He Allows Westbrook's 1st Game Back, After his 2nd Surgery in 6 Months, to Be Against the 2 Time Defending World Champions...if, If, IF Westbrook Plays, & it Looks like he WILL, REED Would Limit him to 20-25 Miinutes TOTAL & No More than about 5 Consecutive Minutes in a Particular Stretch... REED:hammert:
at least reed is consistent. he has given his e-prognosis on multiple nba guys now. rondo, rose, wade. all drama queens who need to suck it up and play through the pain!
As much as I love Durant's game, unless he wins a championship he'll be Clyde Drexler (Portland version) or Dominique Wilkins to LeBron's Magic or Jordan. Once lebron won his first championship then added to it it stopped being a rivalry...Durant's playing catchup at this point.
So the only thing holding up the Rockets/Celtics Rondo trade is Celtics insistence of Parsons being included, the media has picked up on this trade now, and they are reporting the Rockets will NOT be willing to give up Parsons, I'm being told that it's a last resort type of thing for the Rockets and IS a possibility, they are talking to the Cavs about Deng as a replacement if they do decide to give up Parsons.
Just in, Rockets management have asked Howard and Harden what they think about the possible trade, they have concerns about how he would fit in the locker room. Something REED has alluded to.
if they can rent deng it puts them at the top of the west despite losing parsons, with rondo. problem is dunno if theyd gel in time to be able to beat okc or indy or mia
I agree, I think taking the ball out of Harden's hands a little bit would be a net positive, he can be a ball stopper. If it goes down, it will be interesting to say the least and I would rank them as favorites to win the west, with Rondo and Deng as well, the team gelling is a major concern I agree.
plus they wont be able to afford deng so he's purely a rental for a few months. if i was the rockets Id keep parsons/call bostons bluff, their offer still is better than any others
That's true and that's best case scenario, I want Parsons on this teams. The Rockets COULD afford to keep Deng, his bird rights would transfer over, meaning they could go over the cap to sign him, they would end up having to do the same for Parsons eventually. Unless Deng get a crazy offer, the Rockets very well could retain him, especially if they can unload Lin/Asik or both. If Deng gets a crazy offer, not sure if Rockets GM would match thought, kinda risky. The Celtics will get better offers from shitty teams, but Rondo will just say he will not resign with them, he's done it twice with Sactown and Toronto already. This does give the Rockets leverage as their offer, which is unclear what it exactly is, is better than any others from a team Rondo would actually resign with.
H-Town TOYING w/the Lakers @ Half, 64-43...Howard w/a Double-Double & 3 Blocks Already... Chandler Parsons SHOULDN'T Be Traded, in REED's Opinion...He's Going to Be a VERY Good Player for YEARS to Come, if Not an All-Star @ Some Point...He's an EXCELLENT Perimeter Shooter....Reminds REED of Kyle Korver a Bit, in that Regard, Only Parsons' ATHLETIC as Well...14pts, 4reb and 2stls @ Half, 6-10 Shooting, 2-2 on 3's... Luol Deng was Mentioned in this Thread & He'd Be a NICE Fit for Houston, Because Dwight Howard's the ONLY Current Rocket that @ Least ATTEMPTS to Play Defense Every Possession...Deng's a Good TEAM Guy, a GLUE Guy & he DEFENDS... REED:hammert:
Seems like Howard is killing Rondo's chances to get traded to HOU. http://www.celticslife.com/2014/02/gordon-hayward-not-crazy-about-playing.html
Yep...Unless Granger Recaptures his ALL-STAR Form, which REED Doubts, Turner's a BETTER Player...And YOUNGER...Granger Became an ILL FIT w/the Emergence of Paul George, so this Trade Makes Sense...REED Still Favors the Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals, but they'll Have VERY LITTLE Room for Error w/Indiana...NONE Of Wade's Injury Drama & Uncertainty, Nor Bosh's RELUCTANCE to Bang Down Low, Can Be Toleratedhno:...
In defense of the Heatles, much as I dislike them, Indy's D alone won't be enough to get by the Heat. It comes down to George. He's an all star level player, but he's gonna have to perform like a SUPERSTAR offensively to get them to the finals. What I mean is, BIG scoring games! Can he do it? We'll see.
turner is a much bigger factor than granger at this point. a better player than stephenson as well imo. i doubt they'd shake up the starting line up at this point though. my guess is whoever plays better in the playoffs out of the two is the guy they'd resign. though it may be that they cant afford to keep either.
Granger never regained his form after the injury and Copeland is playing well. This makes Indy the deepest team in the league but in the playoffs rotations are cut short so it won't matter. It's all about playing with consistency.
Turner's had a Better Career Thus Faaaaar, but Stephenson has More UPSIDE in REED's Opinion...REED Thinks Stephenson (of THIS Season) Would've Done MORE in Philly than Turner Ended Up Doing...
Yep, Basketball's 1 of the RARE Sports where Good Defense DOESN'T Always Beat Good Offense...When a Guy like Kobe, Durant or Whomever is In the ZONE, there's NATHAN that Can be Done about it, Defensively...Whereas in Other Sports, a High Scoring Football or Hockey Team CAN Be Tamed by Good Defense....
LeBron IS NOT Fucking Around Tonight...Scores Miami's 1st 12pts...Now Sitting on 14pts, w/3 Dunks, the 1st of Which was Thrown Down VERY Hard...
