Cortez was the epitome of jobby. That dude never saw an instance of bodily contact in his life that didn't warrant breaking a fight up.

I asked young Terrance about Bagpipes and he said "Man, what the fuck is wrong with that saxophone??"

I once worked a bar at the WORLD BAGPIPE CHAMPIONSHIPS on Glasgow Green. Oh my sweet jesus christ. We were basically right beside the 'warm up area' so it was just 759 different bagpipes tuning up (?) in your ear for 12 hours. If somebody had started water boarding me & muffled the sound it would have been sweet relief.

Bagpipes (Great Highland Bagpipes, to be precise:will: there are many types of Bagpipe) are a cool instrument and I like them but that would be fucking horrific to listen to

I don't think the atmosphere will get to Terence. There will be around 10,000 Scots cheering Rickeh on and no doubt he'll give it a good go, but I have Terence all day long. I wonder if Rickeh's jaw will hold up though.

Yeah, I tend to prefer the Irish pipes, or Scottish pipes played in a more 'clannish' way. There's a cool group that busks on Buchanan street sometimes who dress up like clansmen, all half naked with matted hair etc and play crazy shit that drunk neds dance around to like techno music  That's good. The militaristic PISH that you usually hear bagpipe groups play is BRIT SHIT.

    Uileann Pipes :bears:

Great Highland Bagpipes are excellent for ceremony, because of their incredible volume and the droning "A" ... At my grandad's funeral, there was a piper... very moving...

Because of overwhelming Irish-American influence on police departments (especially in Urban areas) during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, great highland bagpipes are a ubiquitous presence at police funerals to this day (not sure how I feel about that, tbh)

The droning A (which is always slightly sharp) makes them very difficult to integrate into any kind of grouping with other melodic instruments, unless the tune being played basically only contains A chords and D chords (you could possibly get away with a G chord as well and an E) ... Anything else and you have horrific dissonance... They don't work in group settings

Uileann Pipes, since they don't have that drone, can fit in anywhere

Crowd doesn't really help Burns, it makes him too eager, distracts him from his boxing.
