Best Actor:

I agree tt's between Leonardo DiCaprio and Mathew McConaughey, but Alright, Alright, Alright delivered the best performance of his entire career in a film whose theme is dear to the Hollywood Gay Mafia, so my prediction
is that his role in Dallas Buyer's Club gets the golden statue. (Too bad, earlier I was rooting for diCaprio who deserves it too, but not this year).


Best Actress:

Cate Blanchett could walk away with the Oscar for Blue Jasmine, but I want Amy Adams to get it for 'American Hustle'. A Blanchet win could be interpreted as a nod to Woody Allen, whose child abuse scandal continues fresh in the mind of the public. Pedophilia will be the future civil rights movement, but not yet, so the Academy will politely distance themselves for now from a 'thanks to director Woody Allen' speech and will give the Oscar to non-controversy Adams.



Best Supp Actor:

Jared Leto - Dallas Buyer's Club. Agreed. No contest. Runner-up: the Somali dude from Captain Phillips.

Best Supp Actor:

Jennifer Lawrence should win, BUT she already got a statue last year, so it will go to Lupita Nyong'o for '12 Years a slave' just for Affirmative action political correctness since her role wasn't that much anyway.

Ok so far I nailed the wins of Jared Leto, Lupita Nyong'o, Frozen, and...Ellen sucks as a host. Geez, bring Macfarlane to inject some life to this incredibly boring ceremony.

 

Anthony & me are great predictors. Each of us only missed the mark on one prediction.

 

Leo was pretty clearly robbed of best actor. All respect to MM, who's a great actor and who was very good in Dallas Buyers Club, but we all know his winning was based purely off politics. If you play an AIDS patient, or a fag, you're gonna get an Oscar in Hollywood.

 

Sure did. I saw every movie nominated, except for Captain Philips.

I feel Jordan Belfort was the best character in any movie this year, and that Leo deserved it. Was it the biggest Oscar robbery ever? No. MM was excellent. I just feel Leo was better.

I believe if MM played a Cowboy dying of Cancer, Leo would have won the award. The Hollywood fags had MM winning this thing from the jump.

 

Same here. I posted on my review of 'Wolf' that DiCaprio couldn't be denied the Oscar this time until I watched 'Dallas' and MM and changed my mind immediately.

Exactly. This was just The Academy being again politically correct in its once a decade Affirmative Action votes. Jennifer Lawrence should had won, but since she got an Oscar already last year, they were not going to give her a second one so soon.

The Hollywood Elite always have a post-Oscar parties. Nothing new. The only thing is that for the past 20 years or so the paparazzi & celebrity obsessed media also gives it a lot of hoopla. The studios throw their own parties, the fashion designers throw their own and Elton John also throws one which apparently is one of the most concurred. Actors and other movie business people jump from party to party all night until (A) dawn early hours (B) get totally wasted (C) hook with someone they haven't had sex yet (D) stay at one place and politely leave at certain hour and go home, which is the minority.

 

No, REED is Taking about REGULAR People, w/NO Hollywood Attachments, Having Oscar Parties...Not Hollywood Actors, Execs, Directors, etc...

They Spoke Like It was a Super Bowl or Fight Watching Party, for the Oscars...Personally, REED had NEVER Heard of This, Until a Couple Weeks Ago...REED has Almost Always Found the Academy Awards Presentation Very Looooooooooooooong & BORING...
