Caron Butler will join OKC, Danny Granger and Glen Davis both signed with Clippers. Jimmer Fredette might join the Bulls and Ben Gordon is expected to sign with OKC too.
It was almost a given that Butler would sign with Miami since he's still friends with Wade and left the organization in good terms, but maybe OKC offered him a better role. In Miami he would've been sharing minutes with Bron, Battier, Beasley and Lewis.
Are you shitting me? Butler is pretty much over the hill, and Gordon ain't nothing but a horrible streaky shooter who hasn't been good since Chicago although I'd argue ever. Detroit couldn't wait to get rid of Gordon. I don't like either one of these signings. Why are we adding mediocre veterans to our team, is it just because they're available?
If anything, Gordon is a good 3pt shooter and those kind of players are always a commodity. Butler is there for insurance and to fill up some minutes for Durant.
BOTH of those Guys are Capable of 12-15 Points in a PLAYOFF Game, Which is All OKC Needs them For.... This Gives OKC Insurance, In Case Westbrook, Jackson and Lamb ALL Happen to Be OFF in the Same Game...They Get NATHAN from the Center Position, in Terms of Scoring, so Adding Some EXTRA Scorers is a Good Move, in REED's Opinion... NBA All-Star Demar Derozan has been absolutely killing it since the break. Almost 26 points per game on well above average efficiency. Toronto looks like they will probably handily take the third spot in the East. Impressive win at home against GS tonight.
I just checked the highlights and he scored his 57th or 58th point up 13 with 5 minutes to go...hardly a time to clear the benches.
That's WHY Teams like Charlotte Exist in the NBA...To Get TORCHED in Epic Fashion...Melo ALREADY Dropped 62 on Them, Earlier this Season... Still, Bron was AWESOME...22-33 Shooting::... Whether You Think he's the GOAT or Not, The Most VALUABLE Player in the League or Not, Surely, We Can ALL Agree he's THE Most UNIQUE Player Ever... He's a More POWERFUL, More PASSIONATE Tracy McGrady...He's a More ATHLETIC, PERIMETER SKILLED Version of James Worthy or Karl Malone...He's Got the MOTOR of PRIME Version's of KG, AI or JKidd...He Plays BOTH Ends of the Floor...DEFENDS 1-4...He's a Playmaker AND a Play FINISHER.... Factoring In EVERYTHING, there's NEVER Been a Package Quite Like LeBron James... Like, EVER!!!... REED:mut:
lebron's awesome and i hope miami wins it all again, but i'm still not sure if they can get past pacers especially if pacers finish first in the east. as for this mvp race, i dont really care who wins, but i have a feeling OKC won't be in the other side of the finals bracket. if i were durant, i'd still be happier to win a ring and mvp finals than not win a ring and win the mvp award.
Barring INJURY, Miami BEATS Indy Again... Indy Has Been VERY Candid about Wanting Home Court Throughout the East Playoffs...Perhaps Tooooooo Candid...Nonetheless, The Heat are ONLY 1.5 Games Behind Indy for the # 1 Seed & they Still Play Each other 2wice...It Would Be a DEVASTATING Blow to Indy'a Playoff Psyche if they LOSE Homecourt Advantage to Miami...If they're Not Already, Miami Would OFFICIALLY Be IN the Collective "Head" of Indy, @ That Point.... MVP is STILL Durant's Race to Lose, but Bron is Undoubtedly Making Things UNCOMFORTABLY Close...Just When Bron Seemed to NOT Give a Shit about a 5th MVP, he's RAISED his Game...The Heat have Won 7 Straight, 9 of their Last 10...If that Streak Even FLIRTS w/Last Year's HISTORIC Winning Streak (2nd Loooooooooongest in NBA History), That'll Sway ALOT of MVP Votes... Not to Mention, Another Couple 50+ Point Performances, which is VERY Likely Given Wade's DEARTH of Back to Back Games... Durant's STILL the Frontrunner, Because the League (& REED) is BORED of Seeing LeBron Win MVP...Simultaneously, this has MOTIVATED LeBron... REED:clapagain:
that doesnt even show james higher FG %, efficiency rating and that he made the all defensive team more times than bryant indy if healthy will beat miami
I think Indy has a really good shot of beating Miami too, but that's only because I'm not sure which version of DWade is going to show up. The DWade we've all known has barely been able to make it the last couple of years in the playoffs and judging by how rare it is to see DWade the superstar I don't think he can magically just show up in time for the playoffs. On the other hand they haven't been resting DWade for nothing, so maybe it'll all pay off in the end. The question is how does Indy or Miami stack up against OKC? OKC trounced Miami with only Durant and then IMO Miami got lucky facing an OKC team trying to reintegrate Russell Westbrook.
they were fortunate harden laid and absolute egg after basically being the difference in the thunder beating san antonio
That pretty much was my planned response. At the same time I wasn't saying OKC would have beat Miami had Westbrook not played, I just think it was the contributing factor to why OKC lost. They may have still lost and lost big either way, they just would have lost for a different reason.
