To Be Clear, the RE Should have Been IMMEDIATE...But Now, Even AFTER Gustaffson's Looked Impressive in his Last Fight & was PROMISED a Shot @ the Jones-Texiera Winner (PUBLICLY, No Less), Jones Suggests Gustaffson's UNDESERVING & Should Face Cormier 1st???...

If Gustaffson were Anybody Other than the ONE Guy to Give Jones a LEGITIMATE Fight, REED Wouldn't Care WHO Bones Deemed Worthy or Not...But he Simply CANNOT Say that w/Gustaffson...Dude DESERVES the Next Shot @ the Title, No If's And's or But's...

The Gustaffson RE Should have Been IMMEDIATE to Begin w/, in REED's Opinion...Definitely Interested in Jones-Cormier, but Cormier REALLY Needs to EARN it 1st...

Yep. Cormier needs to earn his shot. Meanwhile Gufstasson is the clear #1 challenger.

If Jones beats Glover, the only reasonable fight is the rematch with Alexander.

i'm picking jones to win, but he didn't look unbeatable in his last fight. i'd actually pick texiera to beat gus.

He didn't, but I think Gus is a beast in his own right. I guess I think you're overrating Glover, I'd pick Gus to batter him.

possibly, but the dude can flat out crack. i know he was hurt early vs. bader, but i dont think he'll approach jones the same way. i know gus and glover are two different fighters, but it was interesting to see jones actually get hit and outboxed in spurts and i'm curious to see how jones reacts if he gets tagged clean by texiera.

Of course Jones is reluctant to fight Gus again. Jones likes to win. Of course Jones would prefer that Cormier and Gus fight each other because they both appear to be the most dangerous challengers to Jones right now and why not get rid of one of them rather than beat both?

I expect Jones to fight Tex cautiously at first. Then I think he'll find Tex a bit slow and he'll do something fancy and memorable to win the fight, something like a spinning elbow or back kick.

Glover is a plodding oaf. The things Gustaffson did to trouble Jones are things that Glover doesn't have the skills or range to do. It will be an easy fight for Bones.

Personally I think Cormier and Phil Davis should fight to determine who gets the next shot after Gustaffson, but I just read that Phil Davis is fighting freaking Anthony Johnson at UFC 172. How the hell does Johnson deserve a shot against a top 5 UFC Light Heavy?

I respect Jones. He fights everybody, but sometimes he just says the wrong things. The silliest thing is, after saying "dumb" things he always goes through with the fights anyway. (Then again this is not boxing, so Jones' can't flat out just duck deserving contenders) So what's the point of even opening his mouth? Actions speak louder than words, and Jones' actions are what gets him the much deserved respect.

REED Attributes that to Jones' Competitive ARROGANCE...He Made a HABIT of Beating Guys @ their OWN Game, so he TRIED to Stand Up w/Gustaffson Initially...

When that Cost Him Some Rounds, he Unsuccessfully Tried Taking Gustaffson Down...

To Jones' Credit, his Spinning Elbow & Subsequent Follow Up WON the Fight for him, so he Basically DID Beat Gustaffson @ his Own Game, Albeit NARROWLY...

REED Actually Likes Jones to STOP Gustaffson in a RE...Instead of Being Lured Into Gustaffson's World, Jones Needs to Take Gustaffson Into HIS World...
