lol Indiana loses again. The two best teams in the league are either fucking with us or this is just one heal of a coincidence.

    Agreed for the most part.

The only way he leaves IMO, is if he signs a 4 year contract with another team with an opt out after the 3rd year, so he can still get another big contract. That's what Dwight did, people think he left all this money on the table, when he opts out in two years and signs another giant contract, the money will be the same and possibly more.

Phil will be entering a very tough position. Set up for failure really. If Melo leaves, the Knicks are still at 68 million with only 10 players signed. There will be a cap hold for the remaining 5 spots, which means they won't be able to do anything of note. Basically it's either keep Melo and wait for 2015/2016 to rebuild around him, or wait for that season to rebuild all together. Unless they can unload some huge contracts before then and take no salary back, but that would be very difficult.

Phil aint nothing but a coach. And even then he needs a star player(s) to do something.

Phil just wants to do something with his life, and the only thing he's good at in life, is basketball. But he's not healthy enough to enjoy the grueling 82 game schedule and what GF said, he coached only two teams with the best players in the game at the moment.

Can you imagine what pop could have done with Jordan/Pippen and Shaq/Kobe?

Popovich Hasn't Had ANYWHERE NEAR the Talent Phil Jackson Finagled his Way Into & has Done CONSIDERABLY MORE w/LESS than Phil was EVER Brave Enough to Attempt to Coach...

Conversely, Pop's Won 4 Titles w/1 TRUE Superstar Basically, & Came Mere SECONDS Away from his 5th, Last Year...David Robinson was a BEAST @ 1 Time, but he was Already PAST his Prime when Duncan Arrived...Parker & Ginobili are EXCELLENT Players, but REED Wouldn't Consider Either an NBA SUPERstar, Necessarily...

Pop has Built MANY Teams Around Duncan & has LITERALLY Kept the Spurs Relevant AND in the PLAYOFFS Every Season for the Last 17 Years Now (Counting THIS Season)...He SHITS on Phil Jackson...

Phil's Strength was MESHING EGO's...He Deserves SOME Credit for what he Did During the Shaq-Kobe Years...REED Thinks ANY Regular NBA Hoop Posting Fightbeater Could've Coached Shaq-Kobe to 1-2 Championships, BUT their 3rd Championship & their 4th Consecutive Finals Appearance a Year Later (Losing to Detroit), Took ALL Phil Had...That's when his Wrote that Book BASHING Kobe...

Then, Phil WUSSED OUT a Couple Years Later, Made Nice-Nice w/Kobe...

If the Roles were Reversed, Pop Probably Convinces Jordan to NOT Retire & the Bulls Win 8 Straight...REED Isn't Sure on the Shaq-Kobe Dynamic, Though...They'd Win @ Least 2, but REED Isn't Sure if Even Pop Could've Contained BOTH of those Ego's Much Loooooooooooooooooooooonger than Phil Did...Pop has a LOW Tolerance for Bullshit & there was A LOT of that in the Shaq-Kobe Era...

Phil MIGHT Win 1-2 Championships w/the Same Spurs Team, MAX...& There's NOfuckingCHANCE Phil Would've Stayed There for 17 Years, Nevermind KEEPING them in the Playoffs for THAT Loooooooooooooooooong...

I think the ego's grew under phil. I think pop would have kept them in check before it got out of control. pop has no issues with chewing you out right in the middle of the floor. Case in point his ass chewing to parker a few days ago.

The franchise could very well go to hell when Pop and Duncan retire. I've enjoyed every single Spurs title, and I proudly wear two emotional scars left by Fisher and Allen. :flip:

Bynum with 8 pts 10 boards and 1 assist in his Pacers debut, all under 15 minutes. Not bad, but George is still playing like crap.

Yeah, George sure is on his way to being better than KD.............

Right now, PG is closer to the level of Demar Derozan than KD.

Miami are 1-4 in their last 5 games. They beat Washington at the last minute. Wade has been playing well, Bosh too. It's James that seems to be in the middle of a slump.

James has really struggled since he dropped that 62 against the Bobcats. The MVP race is over now imo, time for James to rest up and get ready for the play offs.

Yup. I think James peaked between last season and this one. Not saying he's over the hill, but I wouldn't expect him to take his game any higher from now on.

Cant say I agree. The guy is coming right into his prime, it would be foolish to say that already.

Well, prime and peak are not the same thing. With his freakish health and athleticism his prime could last for years to come.

Yep, He's BARELY Busting 20pts a Game, Since Dropping 61...Mainly Because he's Back to SETTLING for 3's & Assorted Jumpers, Instead of DRIVING to the Hole as he Customarily Does...

    It's STRANGE to Watch...

You're Right, the MVP Discussion is OVER...Bron had just about EVENED the Race, but he's LOST Whatever Momentum he'd Built...REED's Still VERY Confident in Picking the Heat to 3-Peat, but he's Starting to Wonder if the Heat will Take Homecourt from Indy OR If they Even Care...

REED Gets What You're Saying & He Agrees...

LeBron's PRIME Will Last Another 3-4 Years but it's Doubtful he'll IMPROVE Past What he Is Today...& That's NOT a Bad Thing, Necessarily...EVERY Player PLATEAU'S @ Some Point...

The Heat Definitely Need to Regroup but Again, it's about THE WAY Indy's Been Losing Games...

Aside from the Spurs Game, ALL of the Heats Recent Losses have Been CLOSE...Indy CAN'T Say That...

first it was their psyche since they put so much into getting home court. now you admit you arent sure the heat will even over take them, so its about losing games more decisively than miami has been. all this is irrelevant until the post season. last year i had all these ppl telling me the knicks were going to beat indy due to matchups.

Make NO Mistake about It, Indy's CHOKING Right Now...

LUCKILY for Them, Miami HASN'T Taken Advantage of it & NOBODY Else in the East Has Enough Wins to Threaten them for Homecourt...
