...& then he DESTROYED Boone, a Year & a Half Later...

Kovalev had the Balls to WANT a RE w/the 1 Guy that Gave him Trouble, to that Point in his Pro Career...Since Then, he was a WILLING B-Side to Stevenson, in Hopes of Facing Him IN CANADA...

TROLL @ Your Leisure, but there's Really No LEGITIMATE Rationale for Hating on Sergey Kovalev Right Now...NONE...

Ward isn't in a rush to fight Kov. He's more willing to fight GGG. And I can't blame him. GGG is a more winnable fight for him, and once Gennady wipes his ass with Chumpez Junior, he'll be a much more recognizable name.

Darnell Boone has a shtick of scoring knockdowns on elite fighters but he's certainly nothing more than a journeyman, you make this seem like this was some sort of accomplishment.

Out of Stevenson and Kovalev, Ward is the only one to actually beat him decisively and he was the most raw out of all three at the time of the fight AND is closer to Boone's natural weight class.

What does it say about Kovalev that he was dropped by a super middleweight with few knockout wins? It apparently makes Ward and Stevenson have terrible chins so surely the same could be said about Kovalev...the same guy who charges forward in a straight line and doesn't move his head.

At least Ward can protect his in 2014.

Golovkin is much better than Kovalev and I don't like that hypejob either.

Ward beats both but Golovkin at least presents a credible threat based on the merit of his actual skills. Kovalev has nothing more than a puncher's chance. A small one.

Who exactly is a "legit" fighter to then, if both GGG and Kov are hype jobs?

Corley & Maidana Deliver their Punches @ Considerably Different ANGLES & RAPIDITY...Corey was a COUNTERPUNCHER, Maidana Is Not...Corley was More CLEVER & CREATIVE w/his Shots...Corley was Floyd's 1st Fight @ 140, Whereas Floyd's Been @ '47 MUCH Looooooooooooonger than Maidana...

Kovalev Punches w/More PRECISION than Maidana Could Ever DREAM Of & Ward was BADLY Hurt by INFERIOR Fighters to Corley...

Smile, REED just DIARRHEA SHITTED on your "Challenge", Dude...

Kov has a MUCH better chance of beating Ward than GGG does. Gennady is 5'9, at best. Kov is a legit 6'0 LHW with range, puts punches together extremely well, and is heavier handed than GGG.

Kovalev WON'T Register on Anybody's Handspeed Radar, But he ISN'T Slow Either...Kelly Pavlik was SLOW...Alfredo Angulo is SLOW...

Footspeed and handspeed are separate. Kovalev's footspeed is well below average and I suggest watching the tape if you don't believe me. That makes a huge difference when you are fighting a guy who actually moves around in the ring...something surprise, Kovalev has yet to fight in his short stint as the fraudulent poster boy of HBO Sports.

I've heard that story a hundred times. The best one was when they said the same about Pavlik, worked out well huh.

Timmy the head isn't as good as Kov or GGG. Timmy BARELY got by the caveman version of GGG and Kov.

I was obviously talking about the first time around. There WAS NO Ward-Boone II because there WAS NO controversy.

Stevenson and Kovalev had to fight the journeyman scrub twice because they couldn't get the job done.

For one, Kov is far more talented than the Youngstown alchy was. For two, that fight was 6 years ago.

If you are talking about Prov his stoppage of Mike Alvarado is greater than anything these two clowns have ever done in their thus far extremely overstated careers.

And to Hopkins credit, that was the last fight where he really put together punches on a consistent basis. The Hopkins that beat Cloud just last year, would not beat Kov. Kov is a different beast entirely to Cloud.

I am amused you think Kovalev has some sort of skills advantage over Provodnikov

GGG is the only truly skilled fighter of the three, but at least Provodnikov has ferocity, workrate, conditioning and athleticism. Kovalev is basic and has nothing other than power. Literally nothing. He was breathing hard punching at a guys gloves for 5 rounds. The only reason he didn't show any MAJOR weakness was because the opponent wasn't a live body.

If you can't see the difference in skill between Kov and Provo, then I'm done here. Goodnight, Stevie Wonder.

Says the guy who claims Andre Ward should fight Kovalev on the inside.

By the way, I may be blind, but I can at least listen to the calls of Prov applying his skills against actual world class fighters and doing very well.

And I can listen to....Kovalev throwing at the gloves of some guy no one has ever heard of...lauding him as anything more than basic and championing him as a division great.

It's actually amusing because I'm 100 percent sure you are basing your asinine deduction on the fact that Prov has gotten into life or death brawls which must equate so some sort of caveman level skill level despite the fact that nearly every great puncher gets into those sorts of fights at world level.
