Pacers Get EMBARRASSED by 26 Points on THEIR Homecourt... The "Indiana TITANICS" is a More Appropriate Name, Given their Play Over the Last 6 Weeks or So... Beverly will be back in 2-3 weeks, apparently Karma didn't think Bev's play was dirty at all, since Westbrook does the exact same play. Westbrooks reaction to the news....
Umm, Howard is listed as day to day. Some Clippers mouthpiece says Dwight said he's out for 10 days and you believe it? He will be back asap, no question. All ya'll shitting on Dwight for absolutely nothing. Dumbasses :giggle:
i dont get the howard hate either, but if he's out and misses several games houston may drop to a lower seed and exit r1. howard is the best center in the league and would be one of the top centers in any era.
Morey is the BEST GM in the NBA, and will probably win Executive of the year. In 3 years, he totally rebuilt the Rockets from the Yao/T-mac era without tanking. How is this possible??? Traded Chase Budinger for 18th overall pick, Chase was a second round pick for the Rockets Traded Samuel Dalembert and 14th pick for the 12th overall pick Traded Lowry for a guaranteed lottery pick Drafted Parsons and locked him up for 4 years on the NBA's best contract. Traded for James Harden with the picks he received through the trades he made above + Kmart Signed FA Dwight Howard Will have cap space for ANOTHER max free agent in 2015, if he can unload Lin & Asik this summer, he will have that max cap space THIS summer. How did the Rockets have cap space for Harden and then Dwight and possibly another superstar very soon? One reason is he didn't agree to give Dragic a 4th year player option. Morey WANTED Dragic and offered him a 3 year deal, but wanted flexibility more and didn't give him a 4th year player option. Lowry was butting heads with McHale, he wanted out. Kyle has recently stated he regretted it. I tried to answer lb 4 lb's questions also. I don't think I've seen any team completely rebuild in 3 years without tanking. Morey is a genius, not a moron, without the moves he made, The Rockets would still be stuck in mediocrity, instead of having Harden, Parsons, Howard and very soon, one of Rondo, Love, or Melo. Yes, the Rockets will get one of those players.
Nah, Rockets are pretty much locked in at the 4th seed if they don't catch the Clippers, the Blazers are way too far behind. Even if Dwight misses a few games, Asik is a great back up.
Howard was the best player on that team as well as the face of the franchise, hence he gets the credit for taking his team to the finals. Any argument against that is just what you're doing now, nitpicking a resume apart. Lots of players who went to the finals or won championships defeated teams who had top players injured and weren't at full strength, it's the NBA, it happens...a lot. Going to the finals is going to the finals, and whether Howard wins a championship or not at least that is one thing he doesn't have to worry about hanging over his whole career the way guys like T-Mac did. I know what Howard allegedly did is pretty bad but we have to keep things in perspective here.
Admittedly I knew about the problems Lowry was having with the organization when I wrote my post, it just made things look worse by adding it in . Is Morey the best GM in the league? I wouldn't go that far but he's definitely up there. However 2 of his moves have pretty much backfired. The Asik and Lin deals. They need to dump Asik because he wants to start and Lin is severely over paid. You say he's going to have that cap space this summer but please tell me how do you see that happening? The very poison pill he put in both Lin and Asik's contracts that allowed him to steal both guys from their previous teams is the same poison pill detriment working against him moving those guys. Nobody wants to pay that poison pill year fee, it can kill a teams cap. Asik is the guy who has the talent that teams would probably pay it anyway, but the problem is how the hell are the Rockets going to find a team that will give them equal or close value in return? They couldn't do it before the trade deadline. And Lin, forget about anyone taking that guy, he's too over paid.
It's only 8.3 million counting towards the cap, not the 15 million. They do get paid 15 million. NBA teams fire coaches with guaranteed money all the time, so the actual monetary amount they get paid is not a big a deal as it seems, the cap figure is, and like I stated earlier, it's only 8.3. If a cheap ass team has a problem paying the 15, the NBA's CBA allows any team to send 3 million dollars to any team for a transaction to be made. So if needed for some cheap owner, the Rockets could send the acquiring team 3 mill to soften the blow. Asik could be traded pretty easily, Morey is just not a sucker. He will wait for a good deal, or just wait for the contract to expire. Lin will be harder, but much like the Warriors getting rid of those awful contracts last summer (Biedrins and Jefferson), the Rockets could as well, by sending a draft pick, and those Warrior contracts were even worse and Utah took them both. I think Morey is going to push to get rid of Asik and Lin this year, he will then go hard after Melo or try to trade for another max player such as Rondo. Reason being is he needs to sign/trade for that next big Free Agent before he can extend Parsons. Rockets can go over the cap since they have Parson's bird rights and being able to give Parsons a qualifying offer this summer, will make him a RESTRICTED free agent. If they wait another year, he will be a UNRESTRICTED free agent and that means more money.
Nobody uploaded that Spurs Pacers game to my torrent site so I didn't get to see it. Seeing as how it wasn't the tight match up I was hoping for I'm glad I didn't see it. I have to catch the Spurs versus the Thunder game though. I'll bet the Thunder lose it but it should at least be competitive.
As Much as You TRY Equating Westbrook & Beverley, it's just NOT There...& if OKC Weren't a CONSTANT Thorn in Houston's Side, REED Bets You'd AGREE... REED:mj:

Coward simply doesn't have the killer instinct and competitive nature that a great player should have. If he had it, maybe he could have been on the same tier as say, Ewing. He wouldn't be as good as Kareem, Hakeem, or Shaq regardless of his mentality, he just isn't as talented/good as they were, which is no disgrace.
I'm not TRYING to do anything, Westbrook has done and will do the exact play Bev did to him in which you called him a dirty bitch player for. Bev still hasn't EVER committed a flagrant foul. Westbrook has. Barnes is known as a dirty player, guess what? He has more flagrants than anyone in the NBA in the last ten years. Then you say Bev showed no remorse, well I showed you he did and how did Westbrook react? You know your hoops Reed, you should def know the difference between being a hard ass defensive player and being a dirty ass player.
I never called him a saint. So basically you would rather believe he did say it because a Clipper mouthpiece says he did??? Meanwhile, Howard is traveling with the team to Brooklyn and Toronto because he may PLAY. To each his own I guess.
That's one thing I don't do, is judge players due to off court BS. I give two fucks what players do off the court, I don't personally know them. A down year? 18.5 and 12.5 on 59% shooting in 34 mins per? That's basically his career averages... I don't like Westbrook because he's a whiney bitch chucker Marbury 2.0, I don't like Kobe because he yells "HEEEEYYYY" everytime he drives to the hoop, NOT because he may or may not have raped someone, I'm not his woman and not that white chick's dad.
