This would be a good step up for Wilder. Charr is a durable, ranked HW. But who wins?

I think Wilder knocks him out. Charr is slow and has no head movement. That would be a recipe for disaster against Wilder, who has scary power in his right hand.

Is there any news of this, or is this still a mythical matchup?

It would be a good fight as you say. Charr is not very good, but he might be able to get close against Wilder at times. In there, we might see something new of Wilder, as so far he has gotten by with the right hand and his opponents quitting

It is pathetic that someone can have 31 professional fights and be in line for a shot at the wbc heavyweight title and someone like Charr is a step up.

Once somebody hold 5 WBC titles they shouldn't fight any longer.

More of his precious time could be used to cure lepers by merely wishing it so.
