:giggle: they come in many physical varietals like a fine wine. We had some who had coke bottle glasses, small small heads and beady little eyes.
Yeah,....basically a distinction without a difference (sociopathy is more or less a variety of psychopathy, innit?) but sociopath is probably more accurate.
Terms are often interchangeable me thinks. Psychopaths are the ones more likely to go on violent crime sprees and the like though. I guess the distinction could be looked at like sociopaths being more able to "keep it together". Other than that very similar.
I'm not sure....most diagnosed psychopaths keep it together fine, apparently. They tend to be charming and a disproportionate number of them are successful.
If you google it you'll see that there is a distinction but from the little I read it seems to be a bit muddy. I'm a little hungover right now and don't feel like going through entire papers on psychology. :: Here is one: http://www.google.ca/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=5&cad=rja&uact=8&sqi=2&ved=0CEQQFjAE&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.psychologytoday.com%2Ffiles%2Fattachments%2F112693%2Fpsychopathy-versus-sociopathy.pdf&ei=6ctKU5e1KMKiyAHqlICIBg&usg=AFQjCNHkp3ZK-QGTW_uR9YpS4fJNeQTIlw&bvm=bv.64542518,d.aWc
Aye so- *Psychopath's brains are physically different. 'reduced gray matter in their frontal lobes, increased striatal volume, abnormal asymmetry in the hippo-campus, a larger corpuscallosum', blah blah etc. They also display less stress responses in response to all emotional stimuli measured by heart rate and sweat. And brain scans show that none of the regions of the brain shown to be involved in empathy light up when they're shown people suffering. And this recent stuff confirms that an earlier diagnostic test based on behavioral traits is in fact useful/accurate. *he seems to think this is mostly due to developmental rather than genetic factors. Abuse in childhood & shitty parenting *take home: psychopathy is a well defined & easily diagnosable disorder in a person's ability to feel empathy & think in moral terms. Hopefully we start learning in the next paragraph. *Sociopaths OTOH test as having a 'sense of morality and a well-developed conscience' but their morality is basically all fucked up ('is not that of the parent culture'). Breivik is used as an example. *when their brains are scanned the capacity to empathize exists but highly circumscribed by whether they feel the person suffering deserves their punishment. Apparently this is somewhat normal, but the author seems to be suggesting (it isn't all together clear) that the extent of the variation is what sets sociopaths apart. *Take home: the author seem to doubt the usefulness of sociopathy as a medical/criminological category. There isn't much evidence of physical brain differences that correlate with the difference in behaviour yet .... Sociopaths seem to be people who behave like psychopaths and have an unusual capacity to enter into psychopathic states of low empathy but are driven into them because of the strength of fucked up moral beliefs, often influenced by cult-type ideologies.
which leftwing propaganda has you convinced he's a psychpath? Was it the tv commercial of him throwing elderly women off a cliff? Besides the propaganda, what is it he's done exactly that has you convinced?
On the advice of his attorney he can't answer questions about his whereabouts either past or present.
double sees "liberals" in his soup... the Westboro Baptist Chruch will convert to Islam before the two of you see eye to eye on this
From Salon, yesterday http://www.salon.com/2014/05/03/dia..._arrogant_manipulative_deceitful_remorseless/
Salon.com? It's left wing crap. Are you seriously linking this as some sort of proof that Ryan is psychotic? I'll tell you what's psychotic - a trillion dollar deficit and a 20 trillion dollar debt. Any politician who isn't working towards curtailing the deficit, including solutions to poverty and unemployment, is psychotic! And that's pretty much all the elitist as assigned holes and whacked out academics like Krugman.
I didn't post it as proof or even evidence of anything, I just found it semi-interesting to stumble across it a couple of weeks after the question came up here. I think your concerns about the deficit are misplaced.
IMO he KNOWS he is living on borrowed time....he isn't as good as he project...so he want that end of days PAYDAY against...Pacquiao. 5-6 million get his ass kick/destroyed/dominated...
it's not interesting or ironic at all. The demonization of Ryan is a coordinated effort so by definition that means repeated and frequent innuendo and unwarranted attacks on him. As far as the deficit, you think it's misplaced to hold the politicians in charge for doing nothing about it? :: who's responsible? The tax payers?
