Good in theory but incredibly unlikely. Pacquiao is not the type to play games to get fights etc, he'll just fight whoever. Given the extra layer of obstruction that is Top Rank/G, there's almost no chance of it happening.

Would be fun though, watching Pacquiao slap that ugly little mook around.

Not true. The hype would still be bigger than in any boxing event in years. Of course, it is nothing like it would have been in 2009, which is one of the biggest boxing events ever, but claiming that nobody would give a shit is just wrong

 

General public be damned. Us real fans should know, the fight at this point has little appeal. Manny has NO shot whatsoever of beating Floyd at this point now that his speed is declined, and his killer instinct is gone.

I don't think he EVER would have won, but in 09, he was his peak, and his chances were good.

I'm all for the fight between Pacquiao and Mayweather happening even 5 years later. It had easily the potential of being the highest grossing most intriguing fight ever. Next fight has been already announced. Winner of Pacman-Bradley against the winner of Marquez-Alvarado. If Manny is not motivated to right bradley and revenge Marquez then its time for Floyd to finally see conditions being just right for him to sign to fight Pacquiao.

 

I would definitely watch Floyd-Pac, but it is years passed its sell by date now. Still a fight that would generate alot of interest.
