There's absolutely no question that JT was the better/greater fighter. But does Hill have the style to beat him?
I wouldn't have said so but you wouldn't have huge faith in the Toney of that 94-97 period winning any meaningful fight
Probably. But Tony would probably have a good second half (7-10) but tire at the end and lose a decision. But the judges were often good to Toney. So who knows. Maybe he gets another decision he didn't earn just by being the more talented guy.
Hill by decision... Toney usually looked awful against movers, and he was basically shite at this weight... Agree with Double that Toney would get some good licks in later in the fight but then he would be like "man, I really want a Jr. Whopper right about now" and slack off the last round or two
I disagree with that last part. Toney usually came on strong near the end of fights. I think it'd be rounds 9-12 where he does the most damage to Hill. He'd probably hurt Hill a few times in those late rounds. Hill though had a sturdy chin, so Toney doesn't get him out.
This is a strong possibility. A matchup like this goes the distance ten out of ten times and produces an exciting moment at best one out of ten. It's probably a split decision based upon subjective criteria like who seems to be "in control".
Just to start, man After that, he's like "Macs Macs, Big Macs and Cheese, I love the pickles, onions, mustard and a sesame seeds"
VERY Bad Stylistic Matchup for Toney... Hill's Bigger, Taller, Quicker, More Mobile & Would Utilize ALL these Characteristics to Outpoint Toney 8 or 9 Times Out of 10... REED:hammert:
