Blade Runner Sequel

Harrison Ford already has expressed interest in appearing in a potential sequel to the Ridley Scott classic Blade Runner, and now he has a standing offer to appear in the upcoming sequel from the film's production company. According to Variety, Alcon Entertainment has put out an offer to Ford to return as Rick Deckard in the Blade Runner sequel, which will take place several decades after the original. "We would be honored, and we are hopeful, that Harrison will be part of our project," said Alcon heads Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson.

Little else is known about the film's potential plot, but Scott has confirmed that he'll direct. Original screenwriter Hampton Fancher and Michael Green are writing the follow-up. Ford said he was "curious and excited" about the sequel in a Reddit AMA last month and said he hoped to work with Scott again, provided the script was up to par. A public offer like this from Alcon is relatively unusual — we'll see if it pushes Ford to officially sign on.

I'd like a couple of a prequels, a TV series and a cartoon first.

 

Well the original film team is back (director, writer, star) which is good. I just hope they don't bring Sean Young back...replicants were not supposed to age.:nono:

 

Harrison Ford is washed up. He needs to do movies now were he's a second or third banana to either an up n coming star or a current one.

 

I doubt that Ford will be the star of this sequel. He will be there just to link the two movies.
