I think this thread is slightly overrating GGG and slightly underrating Kov. First off, why do people act like GGG is more proven than Kov? He's not. Kov's obliterating of Cleverly is just as if not more impressive than GGG's best performance, which is to date Macklin. Even in Kov's last fight, he systematically destroyed a young, undefeated, solid technician in Agnew. While GGG beat up Stevens, who's simply a bum with decent power.

And GGG is a middleweight. He has no trouble whatsoever making 160. Froch is a BIG super middleweight. Against GGG, Froch has his size to fall back on. Against Kov, Froch's size and strength goes out in the window. Both would stop Froch, I'm just saying. People have the wrong idea of which one walks through Froch. Kov would go through Froch like hot butter. GGG might take some time to breat him down.

Another thing.....when did Froch ever have to face a sawn-off guy. He always seems to do well against these upright sorts. His wide flailing thresher might miss a lot against a guy as compact as GGG.

I really doubt Gaybox stops Frock.

Gaybox is a beast, I've said this all along. But he is a smallish middleweight. And he'll be fighting a guy that looks like a light heavyweight, is proven, and very tough.

Some fine day you will believe me.....you can of course blast Froch out of there if you are big enough and strong enough, you can do that to ANY fighter but there is another way. A subtle way. The Golovkin way.

I think GGG stops Froch circa 10 or 11. Kov blasts him out within 6. Maybe within 4, given how easy Froch is to find with right hands.

The key to beating Froch is consistent accuracy. You establish your own rhythm and you disrupt his. He will be harmless as a heel hound after 4 rounds. This isn't Josey fucking Wales. It's Carl Frond. Just break up his rushes and mop up round after round. He'll soon be reaching for his magic bag of gold.

Welp, we shall see. After GGG stops Geale, I'm assuming that that's the fight HBO will push for. Froch ain't no Micheal Spinks, but he's a helluva lot better than Macklin, and Geale.

Froch would not have dealt with Macklin, who is, was and always will be average pish, any better than GGG did.

And Ali wouldn't have beaten Ken Norton any better than Foreman did.

Can people quit with this inane bullshit

    Are you serious?

    Agnew is garbage.

Kovalev is bigger sure, but he's also less accurate, a much worse defense and has shown a shaky chin unlike GGG who is innocent until proven guilty so to speak

SilentStickinsect shall be eating his words soon enough as Kovvles continues to walk through pretty much everyone.

    No I won't.

Like GGG he could retire 60-0 and I couldn't care less unless he beats a major name like a Pascal, Stevenson, Ward, Froch, Hopkins.

Hell Chad Dawson would be a reasonable name at this point. He's beaten no one.

Well if any of those nut up and fight him, you'll be eating your words. He'd batter the lot of them with the possible exception of Ward.

He would have a chance to prove the doubters wrong, if that goofy cunt wasn't such a cowardly scumbag.

Pascal is not a major name and has already been Dilzed by Froch and Hopkins.

All the money fighters are with Showtime yet it's everyone else's fault Kov can't get a money fight. You'd think he'd go over to Showtime to go get those fights but of course not.

    Yes he is.

He's not the greatest but he's certain an upper tier name in boxing and certainly better than the likes of Cedric Agnew.

He's also riding a fairly impressive win

Kovalev needs to show up in England get some Cheap English Bitches on his arms, walk right up the offices of UKIP and say..."I is dirty Romanian, come to steal wimminz and jobz, who you got".

The cry would go out for Froch to wipe the golden smile off his dirty Gippo face.

And Froch would take up the bounty.

And Kov would kick him down.

    Yes.

Not saying Froch would win but I don't see the foregone conclusion vs GGG that all you guys are talking about. Carl would be a huge leap in competition from what Golovkin has faced so far, a veritable chasm in fact.

I'd pick Groves over Macklin any day of the week, and that's Golovkins best win. Don't get me wrong, I like GGG a lot, he looks like the goods but I haven't seen enough from him so far where I could just pick him to walk through a proven guy like Froch.

Yep. A veritable chasmhausen in size too.

I'm one of the biggest Gaybox fans on this board, but he is very unproven, and thinking he'll just walk through Frock is mental. Frock continues to be underrated, because of how agricultural he looks.

Agreed. I'm a GGG fan as well. In fact, I'm a fan of all 3 of the Eastern Euro killers; Kov, GGG, and Provo.

    What's Govolkin's chin like?

Let's see how he does at 168...

    ...against someone 'good'.
