Froch or Martinez: Who was the better fighter and who has the better Resume

I think froch is clearly a better fighter, and has a way better resume

 

Froch has clearly the better resume, but Martinez in his prime (at middleweight) was narrowly better than Froch

 

I picked Froch on both counts

Easily on the resume thing, narrowly on the fighter thing

 

Better resume Froch.

Prime Martinez better fighter.

martinez at one point was a top 3 p4p fighter. he may have been all along, but simply didn't get any chances to when he was in his late 20s/early 30s. i agree that froch has a better resume.

 

I don't see how Martinez is technically superior at all... He's more athletic, but his technique is horrible

 

I don't think it's clear cut that Martinez is/was better than Frock.

Once again, people seem to be unable to see past Frock's crude, agricultural style. Despite this, he is absurdly effective. The proof's in the pudding. The only person to clearly beat him is Ward, a guy most believe to be one of the best P4P fighters in the world.

Martinez is not a good technical fighter at all.

 

Martinez is being underrated here. People are starting to go overboard about Froch because last Saturday night is fresh on their minds.

You Froch fans are gonna look stupid after Saturday night when Maravilla thrashes Cotto. Even a faded Cotto is miles better than Groves.

I definitely think the Martinez of 4 years ago was better than Froch ever was. Better by a substantial margin? No. But better.

Froch is a MUCH bigger man than Martinez, and if they actually fought Froch would have stopped Martinez at some point.

However, prime-for-prime if Martinez were a natural supermiddleweight, I think he'd have beaten Froch clearly.

People forget, this is the same Froch that got schooled by Andre Dirrell, and got a gift.

He's not Superman.
