BTW, would anyone put it past pop to practice with no air conditioner these past few days? Shit i might do it.
Impressive 4th quarter by San Antonio. As soon as they cut out the turnovers, they put it away. I think all the minutes Lebron has played this post season are taking their toll and it showed.
Lebron may not be a mental midget, HOWEVER, it is a absolute, indisputable FACT that the guy isn't NEARLY as mentally tough as #23 was. Which is why, he'll never be TBE. Top 5, sure. But he'll never overtake Jordan. Just doesn't have upstairs like Mike had.
Agree with you 100%. But I will tell you this... Leg cramps absolutely SUCK and they HURT like hell. You can't even deal. You try to walk and it hurts badly. MJ would have played through it no doubt, but I won't judge Lebron because I myself have been the victim of bad leg cramps and it ain't fun.
He did play 77 out of 82 games this regular season. And he played at least 35 minutes in a lot of them. Plus all the load he had to carry in the series against Brooklyn and Indiana. I personally think its taking its toll a bit.
where did ray allen get this spring in his legs? dude found the fountain of youth. danny green was destroying someone's soul in that fourth quarter.
it stands to reason that a team who distributes its minutes among more players will be less affected by such conditions than a team that has at least 1 guy who needs to play heavy minutes and be effective for most of them to win.
"Danny Green..........BANG!" Heat were superb for 3 quarters tonight, that defence was something else. The Spurs looked shook. More bad news for the Heat with Tony Parker starting to look like Tony Parker in the 4th quarter.
Lebron is a much bigger guy compared to MJ though so cramps effect him more. Also, not risking a more serious injury in these exceptional conditions might in fact be a proof of STRONG mental side, as there are still potentially six games left. It is much easier to go all out, get your leg fucked and become a martyr, but your team suffers that way
No way Jordan would play on the way Bron was acting. If Bron could barely walk, Jordan woudnt be able too either.
Playing through severe cramping would be a stupid idea...if you are cramping that badly and are laboring in your breathing like LeBron was you are likely dangerously close to heat stroke. That crap is how Korey Stringer died on the field
Manu had a nice game. They need to contain Allen though. Old man shouldn't be scoring much or doing crazy one handed dunks.
It was nice seeing the old UCONN alumni, out there playing like a little kid again. He crashed back to earth though, when he tried to take it to the rack again, near the end of the 4th and it didn't work out so well. He was playing on mostly adrenaline, and even seemed giddy in interviews after the game. I've got to think he's at an every other game, stage of his career right now. Somebody else will have to step up for the Heat in Game 2. I can't picture this series not going 7, if Lebron comes back healthy. Get ready for the Heat to shoot 30 FT's in Game 2.
Allen is a great fit in Miami, but I can't help thinking how awesome would've been having him last season in the Spurs roster.
Manu is fun to watch. I've also enjoyed reading this thread and actively watching NBA Playoffs for the first time in a long time. Thanks fella's. First year I've gotten into the sport in a long while, aside from scanning stat sheets for Fantasy Leagues.
Henceforth, the San Antonio Spurs Need to FOREVER SHUTthefuckUP about How "Lucky" the Miami Heat were in Game 6, Last Year... Miami's Playing WELL, UP 6-7 in the Middle of the 4th, when Bron Cramps & CAN'T Finish...It Gets NOfuckingLUCKIER than a Team Being WITHOUT the Best Player in the Woooorrld, in the Deciding Minutes of a Game...The Spurs Got LUCKY Last Night, Period... Speaking of Which, Almost @ the EXACT Time Bron Tapped Out, Bitch Ass Danny Green Decided to Show Up...Motherfucker LITERALLY HADN'T Done Shit ALL Fucking Game, then Couldn't Miss, Down the Stretch... REED Cannot Express Enough just How MUCH he LOATHES Danny Green's SOMETIMEY, INCONSISTENT Ass...He's a 1 Dimensional FAG who Provides that Dimension on a PART TIME Basis...The ONLY Time he's the Least Bit Effective is when he's Completely UNGUARDED on his Homecourt... FUCK Danny Green...No Bullshit, REED Nearly VOMITED in his Beer, 1nce that SCRUB Got Hot... REED:hammert:
Also REED, when you have a healthy Wade and Chris Bosh in your team, you still have enough depth to close the game. Spurs were without Parker on their last game vs OKC and managed to win a road game. The Spurs were not lucky, the fact is that Miami is way too dependent on James for EVERYTHING when they shouldn't have to with the amount of talent in that team.
