Pretty self explanatory. Name some of the most dominant peaks in history. Just a few of the more infamous ones: Mid-to-late 40's Robinson Mid-to-late 60's Ali Late 80's Tyson Mid-to-late 90's Jones Mid-to-late 70's Duran Early 80's Leonard Late 80's/early 90's Whitaker Late 80's/early 90's Chavez Others?
Willie Pep 1941-1946 or so Ridiculous record over that time and numerous ranked fighters People forget, he didn't lose to Sandy Saddler until after he'd been a terrible plane crash that nearly killed him
Absolutely... Although he's hurt because outside of a couple of guys (Tiger, Fourie, Rindon, and maybe Finnegan and Quarry) , he had a load of shit around him to defend against... Nobody was good enough to test him Still, totally dominant champ
Robinson (46-50ish) Tyson (86-91) Duran (73-80) Jones (94-00) Everest (60,000,000 BC - Present) Whitaker (88-95ish)
5 more that come to mind: Late 70's Arguello Early 80's Pryor Early to mid 80's Hagler Early to mid 80's Spinks Mid 80's Curry
Lewis...late 90's, early 2000 ' s Hopkins deserves some credit for his run at 160 ...90's...2000's Joffre 60's
Hopkins peak was definitely late 90's/early 00's. Hopkins' arguably best performance was against Glenn Johnson, which was in 97. So yeah, that was him at his peak. Floyd's mid 00's peak deserves mention. I think Floyd's real peak was like 03-07. His peak performance being the Gatti fight. Gatti sure wasn't Floyd's best opponent, but I still think to this day that the Gatti fight was the best ever version of Floyd.

Sonny Liston -Even though he wasn't champ (but would have been if Patterson would have given him his title shot when it should have happened), from around 1959 - 1963, Liston was clearly the best fighter in the division and was a dominant fighter. And all this happened when folks weren't even sure how old Liston was, but it was assumed he was even older than the age he claimed to be.
