I'm not a Benson Henderson fan, but he might have the best cardio in MMA. He basically out lasted Khabilov in a grueling grappling match in the taxing altitude of Albuquerque. Khabilov held his own for the better part of 3 rounds using great judo leverage to wrestle on even terms with Henderson. But in the 4th, the Russian faded ever so slightly and the "still fresh as the opening bell, Henderon exploited it either steady pressure. He land two punches; dropped Khabilov; and locked in the RNC. In the co main event, local favorite, Diego Sanchez, won a razor thin decision over Ross Pearson. The fight was a snooze feet as Pearson looked to counter punch and was content to land pot shots all night. Diego did less but pressed the action for all 3 rounds. Kenny Florian's commentating would make you think Pearson was the reincarnation of a Willie Pep. I didn't see it that way and scored it a shitty, boring draw. Is John Dodson the most boring and exciting fighter at the same time? He stopped fellow former title challenger John Moraga with an attempted kick that actually landed as a crunching knee to Moraga's nose. The doctor stooped the fight between rounds due to Moraga's shattered snot locker. Rafael Dos Anjos proved last night that Khabib Nurmagomedov is the real deal. Dos Anjos bounced back from his loss to Nurmagomedov by destroying Jason High via TKO from punches in the 2nd round. Like Benson Henderson, Dos Anjos seemed absolutely immune to the altitude and maintained a cardi-crushing pace that had High dead after the first round. Khabilov must be pretty terrible if he got stopped by Henderson. Pearson got robbed. Terrible decision. Had him winning 30-27. The Dos Anjos\High fight was stopped too early. The Rangers got ripped off last night. The game should've never went to OT. I guess it's easy to score on Lundqvist when someone is laying on top of him. TFK
