Bet Allen Green would beat him..... and Curtis Stevens is a TOTAL bum. He's not the best fighter GGG has faced.

Curtis Stevens is a "Total Bum" Who Gave GGG the Only SEMBLANCE of a 'Fight' He's Had his Entire Pro Career...Nobody Else has Sooooo Much as Even Hit him BACK w/a Decent Punch Or THOUGHT of Doing So...

Stevens sucks. Just because he fought back gamely doesn't mean he was competitive at all. Your hate for GGG is unwarranted. The guy doesn't talk trash at all, and has an highly entertaining killer style. I don't think he'd beat Ward, but I'd DAMN SURE would rather watch him fight over Ward.

Stevenson was More Competitive than ANYBODY GGG's Faced, Which Says MORE About Dude's Level of Competition (or LACK Thereof) than it Does for Stevenson...

REED's NEVER Seen a More "Unwarranted" Case of Unadulterated NUTHUGGERY, Based on a Guy LITERALLY Having Faced NOBODY...

Him and kovalev are getting way too much credit at the moment. Sure, they are both quality fighters, but they have to fight more dangerous guys if they are to deserve the reputation they have

I've said several times that I think Kov is the better of the two. That's not the general consensus because GGG is more hyped, but it's what I believe.

I do see what REED is talking about, but hate his groupies, not him. The only way I could see this thread being warranted is if GGG was talking shit and calling himself the P4P. But he's a soft spoken guy, and I don't think he's really avoiding anybody. Certainly not a middle. Martinez wanted no parts of him. Quillin is ducking him as well.

Where is the nuthugging? He is the 2nd best fighter at 160 apart from the New champion Cotto. So have number 1 and 2 fight. This is how sports work the best match up to see who the best is.

He deserves a shot at the 160lb champ. That's all no more no less.

He'd knock cotto out. He would've crushed Martinez. He's the best middleweight in the world... He beat stevens easily and he's beaten better guys than stevens, who is fucking garbage. None of this even approached nuthugging, it's simply the truth.

I agree that i would strongly favour him in these matchups, but at one point he has to proves it , and not simply be a coulda, woulda shoulda fighter. We dont need a second calzaghe

Maybe it's not his fault. Maybe it's that other guys see him as a big risk, little reward and will look elsewhere for more $$$$

But he's not calzaghe... He's not some guy milking a belt with fights in his backyard against shit fighters... I don't see anybody in a hurry to face the guy... He tried getting the Chavez fight and the guy backed out, he was willing to take comparitvely small change

I dont believe this excuse. Hes heavilly backed by hbo, so they are probably willing to put huge money for his fight. At worst, if he really believes in him, he should take a paycut in orde to face a top guy.

I agree that hes still a farcry from sinking to the shameful level of calzaghe, i applaud him for his attempt to fight chavez, and the fight against geale is a step in the right direction imo. But still, i want him to fight better opponents if he wants to get ranked as a top p4p fighter

You would pick Cotto over GGG? I've got $100 on GGG. Do you want the 1st best fighter at 160 on this proposed bet?

At this point he could possibly be Cottos biggest $$ fight. When you consider; Canelo and Floyd are on showtime, pacquiao is probably won't want to go to 156-159 whatever. Ward and Chavez Jr couldn't make 160 and Cotto would be too small to go to 68. Nobody would pay for a Martinez rematch.

So GGG might just be his #1 option now and he is a New York fighter just like Cotto. So the fight does actually make a lot of sense and it would be easy to make.

I'd pick GGG over anybody at 160. The division is weak right now. I think he would beat the shit out of Cotto.

Just don't get the hype really. He hasn't fought anybody.

The irony in all this, is that many said he would destroy Chavez Jr, who apparently an overrated bum yet he would have been a step up for GGG, and the best competition he has ever faced. For all the disrespect Chavez Jr gets, at least Chavez fought Andy Lee and prime Martinez, vastly better competition than GGG has faced.
