Why wouldn't he get parity with Ward? Ward isn't any more of a draw than him and he'd be moving up in weight to fight the guy

HBO would be paying the fighters. they wouldnt give a flying fuck about if ward drew 10,000 fans 3 years ago to a venue in his hometown. they pay based on ratings and golovkins ratings compared to wards prove he deserves parity.

 

Good point. That's probably not much more relevant than if Gaybox drew 50,000 to some wasteland in Kazakhstan.

Everytime I hear about UFC fighters pay, Kosheck name comes up to defend them. But do we know for sure that the major part of his wealth comes from the UFC ? Is his familly wealthy ? Or maybe all of this mainly was paid by his wife ?

It would be interesting to see the crib of similar level UFC fighters like Sanchez of Fitch to compare, because by the look of this, Kosheck seems to have the lifestyle of someone winning 3 to 4 millions per year and I highly doubt the UFC (or sponsorship) paid him that much.

Jon Fitch lived in a run down apartment and complained about being broke.

Yep, I think it's safe to say Koscheck is a one off, or at least a very good example of a rich MMA fighter. If you looked at 10 solid contender types in the UFC, things wouldn't look so rosy.

Although his profile as a UFC fighter arguably made it possible the UFC's salary had nothing to do with his business decisions and subsequent wealth.

 

Bisping is also very wealthy but he benefited tremendously from being extremely protected because his presence on the roster greatly helped the expansion into the UK market.

I'd imagine he also has good sponsorships and has done some acting and spokesman work

I believe his net worth is about 5 million which isn't great but actually is pretty good considering he's never even fought for a world title.
