They Don't PLAY Anything Alike, but their CUTTHROAT COMPETITIVENESS is Similar...That "Chip", that You Mentioned...You Could NEVER Accuse Russell Westbrook of Not Caring Or Taking Plays Off...The Same Can & Will Be Said for Marcus Smart...

That's the main knock on him and I agree. I have seen a few highlights of him and watched his workout, and he seems legit from my eye test. Though he's only 18 and is defintely gonna need a few years to really develop.

Honestly I see more Nick Batum than Penny Hardaway in Exum's game.

Exums bread and better is slashing to the hoop and beating his man off the dribble. Batum is more a spot up shooter these days. I don't really see the comparison.

I don't see the Penny comparison either. Why? because he's a PG and is 6'6? I've read that most of the teams interested in him want to develop him as a SG.

Yeah, Exum's BUILT like Penny & Plays the Same Position, but from What REED's Seen, they're NOT Comparable Athletically, Whatsoever...

REED Saw a Small Highlight Package of Exum, on an NBA Draft Combine Show...Good Ballhandler, but NATHAN Special (He's Not Chris Paul, Kyrie Irving or Steph Curry w/the Ball)...& Given the Level of Competition he's Faced, REED Wonders just How Easily he'll Penetrate NBA Level Defenses...

In Terms of Pure INTRIGUE Though, You've GOTTA Put Exum Up There...He's like the New Ricky Rubio, in that Regard...

Everybody'd HEARD of Rubio's Exploits, so there was a Great Deal of Curiosity to See him Play...

    Cleveland Needs to Trade DOWN...

Get Milwaukee's # 2 Pick AND their # 1 for Next Season...Or Do Likewise w/Philly @ the 3 Spot...This Draft is just about Idiot Proof...The ONLY Dumb Thing a Team Could Do @ This Point is Take Embiid # 1...

Dude HASN'T Even Played Basketball for Terribly Looooooooong (Like 4 Years or So), yet his Body is ALREADY Breaking Down???...How Do you Injure Your Foot in the OFFSEASON???...

If I'm Cleveland I'm taking Parker. I've said since the college season began, Parker's game reminds me of Carmelo's but with better defense. Wiggins might be a better athlete but Parker is the better basketball player. I'd be surprised if he didn't make an immediate impact.

Embiid and back problems? Sounds like Jared Sullinger.

But what if the Bucks take Wiggins or Parker at #1? Or are they dead set on drafting Embiid despite this new injury?

    agREED...

Parker's CLEARLY the most NBA Ready (From Day 1) Player in the Draft...Like REED Said a Few Posts Ago, Parker Will AVERAGE 20ppg from the Outset, if the System he Plays in Allows for it...VERY Polished Offensively...

The Melo Analogy is SOUND, but Like You Said, Parker's MORE Willing to Defend & He's a Tad MORE Athletic...Not Wiggins Athletic, but MORE Athletic than Melo, for Certain...

They Haven't Really Indicated WHO they'd Take...If they're REALLY that Indecisive or Torn Over Who the Acquire, the BEST Thing to Do is Trade Down & Get an Extra # 1 Pick Next Season...

Embiid obviously faked the injury because he didn't want to go to Cleveland.

Somehow he drops to the Lakers and he becomes their next great center

why would a team be dying to trade up and give up a next year # 1 ?

i say randle is the most NBA ready, not parker

If Cleveland is INDECISIVE about Who to Take # 1, yet Another Team has a CLEAR Idea of Who they Want, Trading Up Would Make PERFECT Sense...

Especially if You're an Eastern Conference Team, a Lottery Pick from THIS Year's Draft Can Catapult You Into the Playoffs, Which would Render a 2015 Draft Pick Fairly USELESS...When Trading Up, You've Gotta Offer MORE than just Your Lower Spot...

Randle's Gonna Be Fine, but REED Thinks there'll Be an Adjustment Period for Him, Dealing w/the PHYSICALITY of NBA Bigs, Initially...From the Moment he Put on a Kentucky Uniform, Randle was THE Most Physical Player in College Basketball...That WILL NOT Be the Case in the NBA...

He's NOT Gonna Be Able to SPIN from the Right Block to Finish Over his Left Shoulder EVERYfuckingTIME, as he Did in College...EVENTUALLY, Randle will Be an NBA Stud, but REED Isn't Expecting him to Have the IMMEDIATE Impact he Foresee's in Jabari Parker...

Love/Martin/Barea to GSW for Thompson/Lee is what's being reported.

Gilbert Would have to PUBLICLY HUMBLE Himself 1st, Before Bron Entertains the Idea...But the Thing is, REED Thinks Gilbert is WILLING to Do That...

He Released an EMOTIONAL Reaction to Bron's "Decision", 4-5 YEARS Ago...He's Since LEARNED just How VALUABLE Bron Was to the Franchise, Even CONGRATULATING Bron when Miami Won its' 1st Championship w/the Big 3...

But Again, even MORE Important than Gilbert Kissing Bron's Ass, is Kyrie Irving...If He BOLTS, ALL Bets are Off...

If Kevin Love ISN'T Signing a Loooooooooooooooong Term Deal w/the Warriors, that's a RISKY Move...

Moreso, it's Messing w/the FABRIC of Golden State...The "Splash Brothers" Would Be No More & David Lee was QUIETLY G-State's Most EFFICIENT Player...Dude was Good for 20 & 10 w/Nary a Play Ran for Him...

REED WOULDN'T Pull the Trigger on that, if he's G-State...

i think the deal improves GS a lot. Lee is not a winning player. he's a guy who gets numbers but gives up huge points to whoever he's guarding and is never a part of teams that advance in the post season. thompson is very promising but they arent going to be able to keep him along with barnes and iguodala so it makes sense to do this deal. also think bob myers being from UCLA probably means he has at least some sort of relationship with kevin love where he'd be able to determine whether they can resign him if they traded for him.

What EXACTLY has Kevin Love WON & How Many Playoff Appearances has he Had, Again???...

Love is BETTER than David Lee, But Only SLIGHTLY...Thompson is As Good or BETTER than the Combination of Kevin Martin & Barea, in REED's Opinion...

I think love is much much better than Lee. Love for Thompson is the deal. The rest of the guys are throw in players to make the salaries fit, not guys who are building blocks. Curry and love running pick n rolls is dangerous

I agree with you REED, David Lee is badly underrated. Sure his defense is bad but I don't recall Love being a great defensive guy. When I saw this deal I actually felt like Minessota won it. Lee is good, so getting him for Love in itself isn't that bad, but throwing in Thompson makes it a good move. I feel bad for Thompson though, having to go to that shit hole of a state and organization while at the same time freezing his balls off.

its amusing that u consider lee the big part of the deal when it is clearly thompson minnesota wants if they do it.
