Theres zero chance any team picking 2-5 are giving up their #1 pick for next season to move up 1 or 2 spots in this draft. Those Hornets jerseys look great.
The trade seems fair for both teams imo. Signing Iggy to that deal was a mistake, but getting Love could save them some headaches going forward.
Meanwhile, YOU'RE Acting as if Kevin Love has Actually PROVEN Anything...As of Now, he's a STAT Guy, just like David Lee, Only SLIGHTLY Better... There's NOT an Appreciable Difference btwn them, in REED's Opinion...Put David Lee on Minnesota & he Averages 25 as Well...He Won't Shoot 3's like Love & he'll Only Get Around 10 Rebounds or So, Instead of 12-13, but it's NOT Like Minnesota's Gonna Lose Any MORE Games w/Lee, than they Did w/Love... REED:hammert:
I agree with this. It will be interesting to see what kind of numbers Love will put up in a team where he isnt the #1 option every single possession.
im not the biggest love fan, but the guy is a much much better player than Lee. 5 years younger and a big man who can legitimately give you 25 points a night. lee has been on plenty of shitty teams and was never able to do that. lee is also grossly overpaid at 15 mill per season. he is white, so he has that going for him since minnesota seems deadset on acquiring gringos. clay thompson fits their M.O. as well.
disagREED... Take Philly For Instance, if they REALLY Want Wiggins or Parker, it BEHOOVES Them to Move Up as HIGH as Possible to Get Them...w/Carter-Willliams, a Healthy Nerlens Noel, Wiggins/Parker & Thaddeus Young, Philly WOULD Make the Playoffs in the East, Next Spring...Next Year's Draft Pick WOULDN'T Be All that Important @ that Point... REED:hammert:
i doubt they'd make the playoffs with that squad. east is weak, but not that weak. especially if they ended up with wiggins
Yeah, Iguodala Did DICK for Golden State this Year...& his Presence STUNTED the Growth of Harrison Barnes... REED:hammert:
Supposedly Imbed has a fractured foot. Not that's it's going to change much for him with the draft other than maybe going up to shake Silver's hand on crutches.
Wiggins ISN'T a Leader...He's PASSIVE & Would EASILY Be Led Down the Same Path that's Caused FRICTION in the Cavalier Locker Room, in REED's Opinion... Parker, on the Other Hand, Seems to Have a BUSINESS Minded Approach...A SERIOUSNESS about Him...Even When Parker's had Subpar Games, REED's Never Gotten the Impression he was Being LAZY or UNINTERESTED... It's ALL about Jabari Parker, to REED... REED:hammert:
i dont really know about those intangible things you mentioned, but parker certainly appears to be the stronger, more skilled player. the hype for wiggins doesnt seem warranted based on the games Ive seen
The Cavs Basically SHITTED on Any Chance of Getting Bron By Hiring Some Non-Descript, Euro League Coach...The Decision Makers on this Squad REPEATEDLY Make IDIOTIC Decisions & it Starts @ the Top w/Dan Gilbert's Midget, Napolean Complex Having Ass... REED Isn't Convinced Cleveland WON'T Make a Mockery of This Year's # 1 Pick, as they Did w/Last Year's, Drafting Bennett, who Had THE WORST Rookie Season of ANY # 1 Pick Ever... Watch them Take Somebody like Doug McDermott # 1... REED:Stewie:
gilbert probably fucked off chances of james coming back when he first left with his assholish comments. not sure about the coach, from what i have read the guy seems legit. it cant be easy to get a big name guy like mark jackson when the franchise is in flux like this with irving possibly leaving and not much else to fall back on.
There's no chance of Lebron going back to Cleveland now. It was questionable if he was ever gonna go back there to begin with if you ask me. I think he's staying in Miami, but just exactly what teams today could attract Lebron? All the contending teams in the west are STACKED and in the east, I just can't see which team could guarantee him a shot at the title. All those teams are hopelessly inconsistent.
james should go to houston. first houston has to trade asik, which wont be a problem, and also get someone to take deadweight Lin's ridiculous contract. after that they'll have the money to deal him and by faaaaaar the best chance for james to compete for titles the next 5 years.
Houston would be great with Lebron. Pains me to say it. I'm just not sure that Lebron would want to go there. Its not as glamorous as Miami and the lifestyle is totally different. Plus, the path to the finals is much EASIER for Lebron if he remains in the east and doesn't have to compete 4 times against the likes of the Spurs, Clippers, Mavs, Thunder, Warriors, Blazers, Grizzlies, etc. In the east, the Heat can play shit basketball for most of the season and still get 1st or 2nd place and get to the finals. Problem is, it won't win them a championship anymore unless they add some good quality role players that can come off the bench and help out.
Houston would be a failure. Not everyone can make a Big 3 successful. James should stay and stop whining. He got all the help in the world and couldn't get it done? Big deal, try again next year.
Cleveland set their sight on Parker. Good choice. http://tracking.si.com/2014/06/21/cavaliers-leaning-toward-jabari-parker-duke-nba-draft/ They don't need Lebron. They need Parker to entice Irving to stay and they have a nice team to develop.
Yeah but is having that easy road to the finals really a good thing? It may help in the short term (getting there) but once you do it may hurt you in that you haven't consisently faced the tougher competition and may think you're better then you are. That could be one of the reasons Miami lost. They'd been feasting on tomato cans most of the season and it left them uppreppared when they got to the big stage. Which press conference was that? You got a link, cause I would like to see that.

The Heat big-3 stay together and somehow Riley lands Marc Gasol as they steamroll through the 2015 NBA Playoffs
Yeah they should be able to trade Haslem and a few other pieces for Gasol. Then the big 3 opt out and re-sigh for the minimum giving them enough room for Melo and Lowry. Might need some more help tho.
People have been saying Imbed is the 2nd coming of Olajuwon. Shouldn't he be the first pick, broke foot or no broke foot?
