Not When You Have a Guy like Jabari Parker in your Grasp, who will AVERAGE 18-20 Minimum, from Day 1...

Embiid's Foot is his LATEST Injury...Dude MISSED the Entire Big 12 Tournament AND Kansas' 2 NCAA Tournament Games, w/Back Issues...He Has the SAME Foot Injury that COMPROMISED Bill Walton's & Yao Ming's Career, and that Sam Bowie Also Endured, Among Other Ailments...

HEALTH Wise, Those are VERY Bad Bigs to Be Compared To...

Joel Embiid was on NOBODY's Radar Until about the 1st 3rd of the Collegiate Season was Complete...Since Then, he's Shown to Be PRONE to Injury...

Greg Oden OVER Kevin Durant is Toooooo FRESH in Our Minds to Gloss Over, when Discussing a Big who WON'T Be Cleared to Workout for a MINIMUM of 3-4 Months...Even if Embiid NEVER Gets Hurt Again AND Becomes the Next Olajuwon, NOBODY Would Blame the Cavs for Picking Someone Else # 1...

EmBowie never did much in college when he was actually healthy. he has a lot of potential but to compare him with olajuwon who was a proven guy in college is ridiculous.

Gasol is getting paid 15 mil this next season. Are the heat going to pull his ass out of a fucking hat or something? When Gasol becomes a free agent in 2015 he ain't getting less than the max. Pipe dreams, pipe dreams everywhere.

Favors sucks. I bet the Jazz are already kicking themselves for getting rid of Jefferson and Milsap for unproven guys they thought would take their place. Jazz give up on top players too quick. They let Boozer go when he was a beast even though he fell off not soon afterwards. They also let D.Will go when he was still good although it almost seems like that system made him better than he was. But Jefferson and Milsap still look great and Favors and Kanter have not panned out into what the Jazz hoped/thought they would.

Thousands of basketball camps throughout the country take place over the course of every summer, but only one has the NBA Players Association attached to it. With 100 of the nation's top prospects converging on the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, LSU commit Ben Simmons rose above the rest, earning MVP of the three-day camp.

The Australian-born Simmons is regarded as LSU's most prized commitment of the Johnny Jones era, which includes previous consensus five-star recruit Jarell Martin. At 6-foot-8 with superior ballhandling and a post-up game, Simmons drew universal praise as the camp's leading scorer, averaging more than 18 points in the camps' 10-team tournament, and he's making a strong push towards being the No. 1 player in the class of 2015.

Its a golden era for Australian basketball.

Baynes, Delavadova, Mills and Bogut already in the NBA.

Exum a high lottery pick this year, Simmons highly touted for next year.

And then theres this guy, he could be anything.

    Surprising...

The Big 3 Had Until Sunday to Opt Out & REED Figured they'd Make their OFFICIAL "Decisions" 2Gether...Looks like Bron is Trying to Be his OWN Man, By Opting Out EARLIER than he Had To...

Having Said That, He Could Very Easily Sign a 10 Mil Deal w/the Heat, to Free Up Cap Space...

It's Gonna Be an INTERESTING Summer...

Not surprised. Simply puts pressure on the Heat to improve the roster pronto to get him to come back.

I'm glad he didn't do it as a "trio." I've always found him and DWade doing joint post-game press conferences suspect. "No De La Hoya"

    REED's Glad Too...

As for the Pressers, REED Got the Sense Bron WANTED Wade Their, Initially...Bron was Thrust Into the Role of HEEL After "The Decision" & was VERY Uncomfortable w/It, so REED Could See Bron WANTING Wade Tag Teaming w/Him...

For the Last Year or 2, REED's Gotten the Impression Wade WANTS it More Now...He's LESS Relevant w/Out Bron & Would Fade Into "Bolivian" by DISassociation...

I think you had said Lebron would wait until certain moves are made around the league before he decides what to do, and I do get that impression now more than ever.

I think Lebron is testing the waters and seeing what offers come his way. He'll study them all in detail and towards the end of the summer, announce his "decision" but not on tv.

He'd get CRUCIFIED if he did that again, especially if he announces that he's leaving the Heat.

To REMAIN in Miami, the Big 3 Would Almost HAVE To...$15 Mil MAX...The Heat LACK Cap Space to Infuse New Talent into the Roster, if the Big 3 All Want MAX Money...

Bron Stood to Make $20 MIL Next Season, but he's Obviously Opted OUT of that Contract...Bron's Not Going to Play his Cards in Public, So All We Can Do is SPECULATE About his Motives...

If MONEY is the Priority, it's Going to Be Difficult for Bron to Get a MAX Contract (In Terms of Dollars) from Anybody...The GOOD Teams Already Have GOOD Players Eating Up Most of their Payroll...It Would Require MEGA Trades, Likely Involving Multiple Teams...

If WINNING is the Priority, He'll Take LESS than Market Value...It's Going to Be Interesting Watching All of this Play Out...

Ah ok that's interesting. I don't know how this works exactly with the caps and NBA salaries. I don't think a superstar of Brons calibre in his prime has ever earned 10 mio a year and I believe his ego wouldn't allow to take this kind of money. Of course his bank account and sponsor deals would easily allow it. But that is something i can't see here. Nowitzki is in a similar position and already said he would accept less money but he is 34 or 35 and imo not a guy with a big ego. Could the Lakers have aquired Bron for like 25 if they didn't pay Kobe that, or was Kobe entitled because of his contract anyways?

    10mil is EXTREMELY Low for a Player of Bron's Caliber...Even 15mil Is...

As of Today, he's WALKING AWAY from a Guaranteed 20mil Next Season, to Stay w/the Heat...But There's NO CHANCE the Heat can INCREASE Bron's Salary & ADD Championship Caliber Pieces to Next Season's Heat Roster, Which Makes You Wonder What his Motivation Is???...

Another Interesting Tidbit is Bron Apparently Opted Out Today WITHOUT Informing Wade or Bosh of What he was Going to Do...If he were Willing to Opt Out & Take a DIMINISHED Salary to Keep the Band Together, Surely he'd have Discussed This w/his Boys, Right???...

Believe it or Not, Bron is Good Friends w/Warren Buffet, who's Given Him Investment & Money Managing Tips Over the Years...Couple That w/the Endorsements, etc., & Bron is a Guy Would Could Actually AFFORD to Take a Lesser Contract, in the Name of Winning...But Again, Why WOULDN'T He have Informed 2/3rds of the "Big 3", if that were his Intent???...

The Kobe Contract was a CEREMONIAL, Lifetime Tribute Type of Deal...Kobe WASN'T Even a Free Agent, yet the Lakers EXTENDED his Contract Anyways...2 Years, 20+ Mil PER Season...But it's Understood Kobe Will RETIRE After those 2 Years...It was a DUMB Deal on the Lakers Behalf, but REED Understands WHY they Did It...

    That's 1 Way of Looking @ It...

There's Also the Reality This is Probably Bron's Last Chance @ a MEGA NBA Salary...4-5 Years from Now, he WON'T Be a Max Contract Guy...So Even Though he Doesn't NEED the Money, Per Se, Maybe he Recognizes this is IT, to Maximize his NBA Purse...

Announcing he's Opting Out EARLY, EXCLUSIVE of Bosh/Wade, w/Out Soooooo Much as INFORMING Them he's Doing It, Leads REED to Believe Bron is @ the Very Least CONSIDERING Leaving Miami...

I heard Jürgen Klinsmann make fun of the Kobe contract extension. In football you don't see this shit. Stars get shipped to Qatar or the US where they are paid for being names but no serious team will do that in europe. The lakers basically sacrifice their chance of rebuilding properly for the next two years with this. It is hard to understand.

San Antonio is not a glamourous enough city for Lebron. No celebrities to hang out with there.

Plus, if you thought Bron was hated when he came to Miami, just IMAGINE how despised he'd be if he came to the team that embarrassed his side. :scared:

They Don't NEED Bron, Necessarily...They're ALREADY a Championship Contender...

& It Definitely Wouldn't Do Much for Bron's Legacy Going to Perhaps THE Deeeeeeeeeeeeepest Squad in the League, to Win Another Ring...It Would Be QUITE an Adjustment for Bron to Play w/a Guy who Handles the Ball as MUCH as CP3 Does...Also, Bron's Presence Would DULL the Burgeoning "Shine" of Blake Griffin's Star, Somewhat...

REED Can't See this Happening, Personally....
