Ive always loved those fundamentally sound players. They make up for a lack of athleticism with technique, high basketball IQ, and just plain ole hard work and dedication (Floyd Mayweather voice). Pop loves those types of players.

if it aint about money then bosh is gonna need to take less than 15 because his bitchass aint worth it. same for wade.
I think it's negotiation time. Bosh said he is willing to take about 15, but lets see. Apparently, bosh, wade and james had a meeting recently to discuss it.
i doubt wade is giving away money so he's probably getting at least 50 million for 4 years. which means he'll probably count 8 or 10 million against the cap in the first year of his deal
In other news, Jason Kidd tries to pull a power move on the REAL mad Russian, asking for the president position, he gets told to fuck off, and now the Bucks are trying to hire him as president.
Well if what Woj is saying is correct the meeting probably went something along the lines off Lebron telling them hes leaving unless they opt out and take what theyre truly worth to them team and so he can take the max he deserves.
Doesnt sound like someone as unselfish as lebron James. And it would make no sense for them to opt out and not james.
Most stacked starting lineup? Who are you talking about? Did you see the Spurs team? The bench? You must be crazy.
80% Chance Love ends up in Houston is what I'm hearing, would have deal in place already if Rocket's had agreed to take back Kevin Martin and his contract.
Huh? Lebron reportedly wants the max, as in 25mil, not the 20mil he was slated to make. As I mentioned before, this is borderline cheating imo, especially Haslem who will probably retire. Interesting times ahead.
You may be correct, but it wouldn't be Howard's fault, LMA and Dwight were the best players in the NBA playoffs in the first round and D12 has led a team to the Finals, D12 was a BEAST two way player this past playoffs.
Lebron can get a 5/130 million dollar deal. That's his max. It would start at around 23 mil and average 26 throught the contract. If that's what he wants, the team will not be able to improve. This may be a publicity stunt, saying this now and settling for a less that the super max for "the good of the team." I took a quick look at their salary cap situation, it's going to take Lebron taking about 18 per, Bosh taking 14 per and Wade to take 11 per for them to add anyone such as Lowry. They already have roughly 3.5 commited to two players in Anderson and Cole, they cannot renounce them. No player/team options there. They also drafted 2 first rounders, that will cost about 1 million each towards the cap, now we are up to 5.5 million with EVERYONE else renounced. Projected cap will be at 63.2 million. So they are already down to 57.7 million and we haven't subtracted cap holds for 8 more roster spots. That costs 4 more million. So now we are down to 53.7 million With 4 players signed. In my above scenario, if they took those figures, and that's a huge IF, they would have about 10 million to spend on Lowry. Of course the rest of the roster would be league min deals what exceptions they would qualify for meaning Bi-Annual, Room, or Mid level Exceptions. This is a very rough estimate and there is loop holes I'm not familiar with that may increase SOME space, but it's going to be very difficult unless they ALL take pretty substantial paycuts like the examples I set above. I think Bosh is the biggest problem, he's 30 and this is his last big contract, it will be Bosh, who will suffer the most. Lebron taking "only" 18-19 million isn't a big of a deal as it may seem, he makes lots in endorsements, Bosh doesn't.
Anderson did have a player option and will probably be gone. He's going to want some money, he's been playing for near minimum salary for years.
Why are they set on Lowry? The kid needs the ball in his hands to be effective. We've seen what works with Lebron, a PG that can spot up from 3 and defend. They will overpay Lowry if that's what they really want from him. Avery Bradley, Ramon Sessions or Kirk Hinrich would be a better fit and a cheaper alternative. They're all FA.
Considering what Wade has LEFT, Even 10mil a year is OVERPRICING Him...But Factoring In All he's Done for Miami (Winning the Franchise's 1st Ever Championship, Luring Bron & Bosh to South Beach & KEEPING the Heat Relevant In Btwn), Anything LESS than 10mil would Be DISRESPECTFUL... The Question Is, Would Wade View 10 Mil as an Insult???...That Amount Seems FAIR to REED, but Wade's Enormous EGO Might View that as a Slap in the Face... The # of YEARS he Resigns For is Gonna Be Interesting as Well...Personally, REED Would Offer No More than 2 Years, 10mil Per... REED:kidcool:
