Kell Brook has done it again.........

Don't get me wrong, I expect Brook to be exposed further down the line, he's nothing special (the guys nickname is based on a cereal for fucks sake), I just think he has enough about him to beat the likes of Porter.

 

Porter by late tko is the most likely outcome. Brook's chin appears dodgy.

 

Kell will love that.

 

Brook squares up to the guy in front of him which will negate his height advantage. Porter might be squat and leap in with shots but he effectively breaks distance and surprises guys with those wide leaping shots. Put these two factors together I think it spells bad news for Brook.

Plus, Brook doesn't move his head very well in the fights I've seen him in. I think Porter focuses on the body then catches him late.

 

Brook struggled with Carson Jones who struggled with Dean Byrne. I think Porter fucks Brook up.

 

Yeah, Porter is flawed, but he likely gets away with his mistakes against Brook.

Personally, I think if Porter faces Thurman, it's a different story. Thurman can counter with fight altering power, and deter Porter from jumping in. But I don't see that type of speed and power in Brook.

Porter TKO 9-10 is about right. Maybe sooner, if Brook is even more fragile than I think.

 

And for everybody comparing Kell Brook to Junior Witter. Junior Witter wasn't a bad fighter. Witter beat Kotelnik more convincingly than Alexander, beat Corley when Corley was still a fringe contender, and KO'd Harris. In other words, he beat better fighters than Brook has to date.
