Nice finish by Higuain. 9 times out of 10 shots like that go well wide.

CDOgg, are you going to any of the matches in the US this summer?

They usually play some in your area.

Praise Ganesh! Mark Lawrenson's been banned from commentating because apparently he said somebody in the crowd dressed in an all black lycra suit looked like an individual i've never heard of with really black skin. 'Really dark skin is dark' - what a bigot. Anyway, fuck him and good riddance.

Is it possible to score from a corner kick without it being the result of "poor defending"? It seems every time I see ball headed in after a corner the Brit announcers blame it on bad defending. I can see if a guy is in the open unchallenged. However I've seen so many cases where the defender is fighting with the attacking player the entire time, following him, jumps at the same and even has his arms around the other player. If the guy did anything more it would have been a yellow card and penalty kick.

In what manner does the ball get into the back of the net from a corner kick and the defender(s) is not to blame?

Looks like Arsenal is getting Alexis Sanchez. I think he will struggle somewhat in the PL. I do like the player but I think the fee and his wages are too much. (32m pounds/140KPW)

It may an adjustment period but I think he'll do fine. He's world class. Him and Ozil together should be great. Arsenal still need somebody better than Giroud though.

When the guy taking the corner hooks it directly in.

Markovic to Liverpool for 25 mil. He's raw but has talent, he's kind of like the Serbian Theo Walcott.

That would probably be considering poor goal keeping.
