The West is crazy good, NBA should go to top 16 teams in the playoffs. I'm worried about the Rocket's bench, there's not going to be much $$ left, they are matching Parson's stupid contract. Rockets GM is now the MAN, best in the NBA. Harden two years ago, Howard last year, Bosh this year and the Yao/T-Mac era ended only 4 yrs ago and we never tanked. Now his real work, get that bench filled... NBA teams are only good as their front offices theses days, unless you're Cleveland and win the Lottery every year and have a hometown guy named Lebron :twitch:
Cleveland HASN'T Made the Playoffs, or Even Come CLOSE, Since Bron Departed...Obviously, that Streak Comes to an End this Upcoming Season... How GANGSTA Would it Be if Bron Leads Cleveland to the Finals in his 1st Season Back, his 5th CONSECUTIVE Trip to the Finals, No less???... REED:cheer:
I never got a chance to check about players to X team and such, I will DEFINITELY be doing that next year. They had the Cavs at 60-1 to win the Chip when I had already heard about Bron/Love was a strong possibility last week before the media picked up on it. It certainly wouldn't have hurt to put 50-100 bucks at that point FML.
Would be a tough call trading Wiggins for Love to me. Love does not seem durable to me. He could be one injury away from leaving a gigantic hole in the roster. Wiggins could be a building block for the future, though he might not make much of an impact right away. Love would fill the Bosh role of a stretch big man nicely. Not sure he compares favorably on the defensive end though. His numbers would definitely take a hit, just like Bosh's did when he came to Miami. Let's not forget the fact, he's not as efficient a scorer as any of the big 3 in Miami were either, even when they weren't playing with Lebron.
Miami Will Be LUCKY to Make it to the Playoffs Next Year, Dude... It's Going to Get WORSE in Miami Before it Gets BETTER... REED:kidcool:
WHEN they get Love and the trio of him, Irving and Lebron doesn't make the finals, I would be surprised. They got the best player in the world, the best power forward and Irving. They themselves would be disappointed if they didn't make it.
I agree, I wouldn't count on someone like LM Aldridge going into god mode against that front court, good fit and he will improve their defense, feels good to be a Rockets fan!!
I wonder if there are any original James jerseys remaining or if Cleveland fans burned all of them when he left?
All the pressure is off Love and Kyrie. The media was expecting them to be Batman's, and it became clear that they weren't gonna cut it as Batman's. Now they get to play Robin's.
Damn I didn't know that. Riley might go for a full rebuild now. There's no way Wade can take that awful team to the playoffs.
They Also Have ZERO Championship Pieces, as REED Types... & Any STAR That Goes There would have to Deal w/the PRESSURE of Living Up to the Expectations Bron Gave The Heat... REED:kidcool:
ok. None of that changes that they have LOTS of money to play with. What's your question caller? Are you just debating yourself?
He is, still don't know if I like the idea of a big man taking as many threes as he does. He will need to scale back his shot selection if he goes to Cleveland. Linch-pin in the whole thing might be Varejao, if he can somehow stay healthy for a year or two. Gobble up as many offensive rebounds as possible, take that pressure off the shooters on the team, serve as a poor mans Dennis Rodman type of role.
Also, the 2015 FA class is already going to be drying up, the big prize was going to be Love, if he's moved to the Cavs, and I'm pretty sure he will, the next biggest name is Rondo I believe. Rebuild time.
The Star FA's won't be signing to Miami, so that leaves Miami to overpay for role players to fill up the cap and get their 12 men. That's hardly a positive.
they dont have to over pay anyone. But again, the word positive. Is that your word? Why was it brought into a conversation with me?
They beat Dallas, Memphis, GSW, Portland, LAC Hou, OKC, and SA, it depends on how their rosters round out. For instance is Gasol going to OKC?
Miami will have to build from the ground up. Especially if no big names come, and if they don't make the playoffs next season. There just won't be players itching to go. They're gonna have to do it with draft picks and building their bench and it could take years. Heat wagoneers won't have the patience for that and they'll be too busy hanging in night clubs and going to the beach. I think the Heat front office overestimated their ability to keep Lebron on the team. I think they thought because its MIAMI with nice weather and night life, that the big 3 would remain intact even if they lost to San Antonio in the finals, and now its bitten them in the ass.
