He appeared to have a strong jab but nothing much else. (other than his size) He will do fine against cans.

Agreed with this. Though it has to be remembered that both Valuev and Tyson Fury looked much worse than this in their first five fights, in fact, Valuev became a serious fighter only after 20+ bouts. It is very likely this guy won't achieve anything but it is not totally out of question
Yup... Really terrible alcoholic... I saw some thing about him on the TV once and it was something like he'd drink two cases of beer in a sitting or whatever::
