Despite a SLIGHT Height Advantage for Hearns, these were 2 TRUE Welters...What Happens Here???...

Granted, Pac's Only 5'5, but he's Made that an ADVANTAGE as he's Morphed into a TRUE Welter...

Hearns is 6'1, Would have a Reach Advantage of About a FOOT(On EACH Arm) & Successfully Won Titles All the Way Up to '75, but it's Near Impossible Imagining him Coping w/a TRUE Welter of Pacquiao's Caliber...

Manny Pacquiao has been fighting as a welterweight for several years now

still, he's small at the weight and does not have the style to defeat Thomas Hearns

Only great welterweights are TRUE welterweights people

at 5'7, Jose Napoles managed to dominate the welterweight division... an AMAZING accomplishment considering he wasn't a TRUE welterweight

It's Common Knowledge Welterweight was Ray Robinson's Best Division, but that Motherfucker was LUCKY he Never had to Deal w/MONSTER Welters like Pacquiao...

5'5 Inches, 142lbs of TRUE WELTERWEIGHT Ferocity!!!...

Yes, Robinson wound up at Middleweight dealing with 5'6 monsters like Carmen Basilio, who since he started out at 135 wasn't even a TRUE Middleweight!!

Oscar De La Hoya was an awful welterweight... You know how I know??? He arguably lost to a 5'5 1/2 guy named Pernell Whitaker!!

Wait, then again, Oscar turned pro at 130, so I guess he wasn't actually a TRUE welterweight!!

My apologies to him, there's no shame in getting a gift decision over a guy who is exactly the same size as you the way Whitaker and Oscar were

Even if they were the same height, Hearns would knock him dead.

Randy Shields would probably shitkick Pacquaio then, given that he was so much taller and welterweightier

Antonio Margarito and Miguel Cotto would probably bash this little guy as well

Adhere to McDogg's Teachings on what a TRUE Weight Class Is or Isn't...

The Dispute is Over the Notion of a Fighter's "TRUE" Weight Class...

    It Began w/Miguel Cotto...

McDogg's of the Belief Cotto's a TRUE Middleweight Now, by Virtue of Winning the Lineal Championship in that Division...He Also Believes Michael Spinks Was a TRUE Heavyweight, and Thomas Hearns a TRUE Lightheavy, Based on the Same Premise...

REED's of the Opinion that Winning a Title, Lineal or Not, DOES NOT Automatically Make that Weight Class a Guy's TRUE Division, & Used the Aforementioned Names to Illustrate his Point...

Obviously he'd kill him... Primera is a TRUE welterweight, PAC is a true flyweight

I think it depends on the fighter moving up. Roy Jones for instance could be considered a true supermiddle in his first fight there. Pacman in his first superbantamweight fight despite jumping two weight classes. At welterweight not so much.

so, the only explanation then is that Pacquiao's success above 135 is down solely to the fact that he fought in a horrible era
