Orlando Bloom looks weird with the SFX applied to his face to take some years off.

    ehh this movie is ok

they can't seem to decide how good orcs are...in battles anyone can wave a sword around and slice through 10 orcs like butter, then in other scenes there is 1on1 combat where orcs are great fighters

The Hobbit: The Battle of The Five Armies First of all let me point out the weakest factor of this film: it lacks a plot. If you have not seen the previous two films you'll be clueless about the whole thing since the story was already established in the previous two films and all the characters were introduced there. This final chapter is like a 2 and a half hours rollercoaster of almost non-stop action to wrap up the whole saga and link it to The Lord of The Rings. That said, this is highly entertaining fantasy of epic proportions. It starts where the last one ended with Smaug the dragon unleashing a firestorm of fury upon the human villagers, follows with the 'we-want-our-share-of-the-treasure' and finishes with what might be the longest war sequence ever (I counted close to 40 minutes!). Why the film is titled 'Five Armies'? I counted only four: the elves, the humans, the dwarves and the orcs. Where they counting the eagles or it was the bats? maybe the goblins? do the wizards count too?? Anyway, I enjoyed this film a lot and can't wait til I can buy the blu-ray. 8.5/10

didn't the battle scene just irritate you with how crappy orcs are?
fisherman were killing them by the dozens

Orcs are the equivalent of stormtroopers: no matter their numbers they are there to be killed.

I watched it and enjoyed it. It's definitely an action packed film but where is the damned climax of the movie? It felt very flat and Bilbo ended up in the background of the story while Thorin got the whole attention. That being said, the dragon scene and the short battle with the nine were spectacular.

so what's with them being so hard to beat up on the mountain where elves were struggling with just 1 and dwarves got killed :scratcher:

    Typical Peter Jackson inconsistency.

Jackson is the new George Lucas: fans started loving him and now they hate him for being a fallible deity!

This was supposed to be a Guillermo del Toro masterpiece. So sad.

His Hellboy films and Blade II were far from masterpieces. Pacific Rim is no masterpiece either. So I am okay with Jackson doing these films.
