Millwall are the only team I've seen cause a riot after they WON, and it was against Fulham, the biggest pussies in football (Hugh Grant is a Fulham fan). They stormed the family section and started punching kids, they are fucked in the head.

Celtic must win today by at least three goals or it's all over for them

Should they lose today, it will result in a major upheaval at the club... mark my words... At the very least, Van Dijk and Forster will be sold to the highest bidders... It will also mark a major loss of revenue

18 months ago, this club recorded one of its most celebrated victories in years (2-1 over Barca) ... Now, the player who scored the winning goal is gone, Samaras is gone, Ledley, Wanyama, etc., the manager of that side is gone (frustrated with the board) and they are in probable danger of being knocked out of a crucially lucrative competition by a Polish Club ranked 120th in the world by UEFA

This season is shaping up to make last season look like 1967

I understand that the board are faced with having to balance competitive aspirations with economic realities of modern fitbaw, but how is undermining your team to an extent that they miss out on a huge chunk of money (I believe the CL money is 5 times the money Celtic gets from their TV contracts) a fiscally sensible approach?

I could think of what would make the season hit the lowest point ever. (Not that I want it to happen.)

Celtic lose on aggregate today and go into the Europa playoff round. Get matched up with Hull City and lose badly. That would end any kind of talk about being on par with the Premier League.

Bayern Munich plans the MLS all stars tonight at 9 EST.

Apparently guys like Muller and Gotze will be there but according to Pep they won't play for any more than 15 minutes.

honestly, right now, we probably would get beat by Hull City cleanly... not decimated or anything, but clear

The talk is just talk, nothing more... Celtic will never be in the premier league, even if they beat Hull City 9-0 and had 95% possession... The FA doesn't want it, UEFA doesn't want it, FIFA doesn't want it...

If we drew Hull I'm pretty sure we'd beat them. Lets see how Hull would handle pulling up in their coach for a home game & it being all Celtic fans outside their ground and half the home end being taken up by away fans belting it out. Then coming up to Celtic Park on what would probably be a pretty big european night. Rupert can give Hull as much money as he likes but there's the psychology of the thing. We'd win.

I'd like to see how Legia handles it later on before I share this confidence in the present Celtic squad

Legia will handle a half-empty Murrayfield fine, we've got no chance.

In half-arsed defense of Celtic; we're still bedding in with a new manager and, effectively, his first competitive match is against the champs of Poland. Strachan and Lennon both got pumped in similar circumstances. IOW we're pish, but not quite as pish as the first leg.

not playing at CP is a big disadvantage here, but I'm not sold it would have made a big enough difference to win

I think the fans will be relatively muted anyway. Everyones fed up/disillusioned.

you're probably right... it's hard to imagine us playing WORSE than we did in that first leg... I do think we've dug too big a hole to escape from in the second leg for sure and I don't see us accomplishing fuck-all in Europa either

we'll yawn to the SPL title, though

  17. Hut*Hut

    Hut*Hut The Mackintosh of temazepam

That said.....Murrayfield affords plenty time to drink on the train  that probably overrides all other factors. If we get an early goal Legia better hold on to their butts.

  19. cdogg187

as well they should be... players leaving rapidly (one of them for no reason at all) and a manager who, despite being a club icon, a true club man, resigns because he's sick of the bullshit himself... On top of that, the traditional rival is gone going on the third year now, which has taken practically all of the juice out of the domestic competition... even the surrogate (the pathetic Hearts) has been relegated

It saddens me to say it, but I would genuinely fancy our chances against this current Celtic side. A few seasons back that statement would sound absurd.

how far is it from where you live?

  29. Hut*Hut

    Hut*Hut The Mackintosh of temazepam

Not too far, tbh. I could get a train from Partick or Queen street and be there in an hour and a half or so. Getting back would be a pain in the balls though what with queues at Haymarket etc. Then there's the cost, then the fact I'm up at 7 tomorrow. Another year those aren't big obstacles but right now it feels like it might as well be in China.

Buy a Porsche and speed all the way there and back.
