Why did they leave out the funky bass part from Around The World? That's the coolest part of the whole song and I was waiting five minutes to hear it, it was like being on the verge of sneezing but never being able to.

I have a friend in a band who's into all that 'big' 70s and other heart on your sleeve type stuff. He calls it 'honest music'. he thinks the stuff I like is dishonest/contrived. I guess I know what he means, but unmediated/self reflexive human emotion feels a bit embarrassing to me generally. I can usually only enjoy stuff with a couple of degrees of detachment. Maybe I'm on the spectrum or something.
