Terry Norris boxed the shit outta Julian Jackson for 1 round. All that matters is the final result.

Garcia was punching WITH Khan the entire time, and it was only a matter of time before he caught him. And he did. The fact that Khan won the first 2 rounds means nada.

I watched it last week, for about the 10th time.

There's a difference between beating somebody to the punch, and outclassing them.

There was nothing desperate about the left hook Garcia landed. He had been throwing it since the opening round in-between Khan's bullshit flurries. It was only a matter of time before eventually one landed.

Kellerman and Lampley (the two cheerleaders) were making it seem like Khan was destroying Garcia or something. The only one who noticed that Garcia was having subtle success was the late, great Manny.

 

Garcia was clearly in that fight from the 2nd onward

 

Exactly. REED is trying to make it seem like this was Mayweather-Corrales.

But Garcia began to find him a bit in the second

Even if Khan didn't have the chin of a petite woman, he'd still get hit plenty as the fight went on because he's a terrible boxer, his defense is awful and he has no idea how to avoid punches outside of illegally draping himself over his opponent

Nope. I'm simply stating the TRUTH: That Garcia knew what he was doing. He stood his ground, and kept trying to counter between Khan's sloppy flurries with his left hook. And for 2.5 rounds, he got beat to the punch trying to do so, until, one landed.

That's the truth on what happened.

 

Exactly, that's essentially what I've been saying.

Sure Khan was winning the fight clearly until that point, but that's 2.5 fucking rounds of winning, it's nothing.

Garcia knew exactly what he was doing. And as I said, Danny looks scrubby, and that left hook looks wide and head turned away, but he has great instincts and timing on it, and lands it consistently against EVERY fighter he faces.

It's fucking absurd to write it off as some wild haymaker that lands through pure luck.

And I never said Garcia was feeling Khan out. Danny was throwing punches with fight ending intent in the opening round. Simply took him a few rounds to time Khan. Once did, ole paper chin couldn't handle the punch.

 

Khan won the first two rounds. Nobody can dispute that at all. But I fail to see this domination that HBO was trying to portray.

But the Fight WAS GETTING AWAY from Garcia, Clearly...He HAD to Do Something Dramatic, to PREVENT the Fight from Going the Way it APPEARED to Be Going...& To Garcia's Credit, he DID...

The fallacy in this assumption is that you're pretending that a weak chin is Khan's ONLY problem. It's not. He has a shit defense, mediocre stamina, and is a STUPID fighter.

Even if he survived that ONE left hook, Garcia would have landed more and more as the fight progressed.

I thought Jermain Taylor had the lowest IQ of any world class fighter....... until Khan came along.

And in the end, it's all speculation, because his chin is PATHETIC.

Terry Norris COULD have been an all time great, instead of merely "just" a HOFmer, if he had a good chin. But he DIDN'T.

OK, now things are getting a bit out of hand. Khan is an actual fighter. He might be dumb as a stump, but he has a fighter's instincts - in fact, sometimes that's exactly what his problem is. I'll never forget watching Jermain Taylor stand around looking confused in front of a clearly beaten William Joppy who was ready to go. I think that was the first or second Taylor fight I saw. I remember thinking "this bum is getting all this hype?" Taylor had 0 ring IQ AND 0 fighting instincts.

 

Taylor was a better fighter than Khan.

 

If Con is any better than Taylor, I'd love to see the evidence

 

The fight could have gone either way, Khan Vs Peterdewd was no robbery.

Khan did beat Paulie and Judah impressively, but they were both B class fighters when he beat them.

Khan is not a scrub, but he's not particularly good at world level either. Too chinny, too stupid. He does have heart though, that's what makes him fun to watch most of the time.

 

Taylor is better, and his wins over Nard shit on anything Trashkhan has done.
