So would a kick up the arse of Carrick and Cleverley.

He's no Paul Scholes or Ryan Giggs, I guess that's the point, really.

I think we will see plenty of goals tonight. Over 4.5 goals to be scored is 10/3. What you think?

I don't know man. I think at this stage both teams will be happy with a draw and will play as such.

City could clean up tonight. It's like Liverpool are a talented boxer but they have nothing to keep City off them with. No scheming from Suarez, Gerrard hitting Bollywood passes...........those are good odds.

City won't be happy with a draw. They described this game as a 6 pointer. They have not sold their best player.

I know you have me down as the ultimate football pessimist, but Liverpool could lose this by 4 goals. IT's come waaaay too early for them, with no sign of Lallana, Can, Markovic or Balotelli yet.

I watched City vs Newcastle and Fernando looks a real player. They are a physically imposing side with talent everywhere. I think that Gerrard and Lucas will be over-run. Glen Johnson is disinterested.....yet will start.

If Lucas and Gerrard start in middle of the field, then Liverpool are in trouble.

My old man always had a strangely passionate hatred of Stevie Gerrard. 'arf, hold onto your hats boys, here comes the charge of the light brigade. God I hate this guy. Oh here he is again - shot fae 55 yards, Stevie?' Paul Scholes could do no wrong.

Gerrard is useful in just those situations, COTLB.

But life is usually about taking a shit, getting none of it on your hands, and leaving the bog in an acceptable state, knowamsaying??

C.Ronaldo could have easily carried on there turning his man, but he decided to go down toooooooo easily. Soft, very soft.

Bloody hell, i just got 6 questions on university challenge right in a row. The chances of that happening were about 12.7 trillion to one.

You have to credit Pellegrini for dropping Aguero for Jovetic. Its paid dividends.

Shows you the quality City have. Like for Like across all 11 positions. I was right when I said it could be 4 or more. Liverpool showed nothing in the Southampton game that they would have anything to keep City off them for the whole game. Heads dropped with the soft opener.

    Pretty much. :bears:

Guys like Moreno and Lovren might be good players but they have had no time to bed in. Especially Moreno.

If Can was fit, Liverpool should have gone with him and not Allen. Can is a powerhouse, Allen is not. Allen is a good player, but he's going to have difficulties against the likes of Toure and co.

I Can {ha haha ha } only assume that Can was not fit.

Johnson should have been out, Can should have been in, Allen out and Flanno in. Mantequillo {or whatever his name is}had a good game and is dropped.

Martin Kelly would have done better out there tonight.
