You've got a lot to do with you team now, Billeh. The transfer window is now open. If I was you I would concentrate on attacking options for your team. I'm currently 2nd in the league and need to get a few new faces in.

TKO, I have had a blinding start to the official premier league fantasy leagues I'm in. 1st in all three leagues. I'm upset though as I am not in your league. I've got 184 points which is my best ever points total after 3 weeks.

    Was it Remy himself?

Welbeck, Walcott and Sanchez up front could be a stunning front 3.

I think it could be a stunning front 1 out of 3.

Frightening pace on counter attacks though.

Wellbeck is a tracker-backer. I think Phelan is right. United have won a battle but lost a war. DiMaria and Falcao are great signings but United have, perhaps beginning with Rooney, become a place where talent can be secured and placated with money, rather than with ideology.

Football hooligans really are this angry? :boohoo:

Anyway, I fail to see how he can be blamed for accepting an offer to go to the best team in England right now and a prestigious club like Chelsea from a team that will be fighting to stay above relegation. It isn't like Queens Park showed him sort of tremendous loyalty by attempting to sell him in the first place. If he had forced his way out you'd have an argument.

More pertinently, is he any good?

Remy went on loan when we were in the championship because he wanted prem football. We didn't want him to go but that's a good sum of money to receive for him. I don't think deep down he wanted to stay with us and he has said if a prem league club who are in the champs league come knocking on the door he would go.

God knows how a Liverpool move fell through but I guarantee it wasn't due to a failed medical. He is a good player and knows where the back of the net is but I don't think he'll get a tremendous amount of game time at Chelski.

If I had gone outside Stamford Bridge wearing a QPR top and waving QPR flags on national television I wouldn't be expecting a pat on the back, put it that way. I don't condone violence but you get what you ask for.

Chelsea are not prestigious, they have no history. They are a billionaires plaything. They were on the verge of bankruptcy when they were taken over. They managed to scrape into the Champions League and Abramovic bought them, if they hadn't had that stroke of good fortune they probably wouldn't exist anymore (and nobody would miss them) and it would be West Ham (Abramovic's initial choice, by all accounts) who would now be the "prestigious" club. Funny thing is, historically, West Ham ARE actually a more prestigious club.

I don't blame Remy for leaving, we didn't expect to keep him, it's who he left for. There were other clubs interested in him (Arsenal, for example), and the fans would have had no problem with that. I didn't mind that he was going to Liverpool before the deal went through. Going to Chelsea leaves a bitter taste in the mouth, he knows the history between the two clubs. Fuck him. He will be third choice anyway behind Costa and an ancient Drogba.

With regards to your final question, he is an excellent finisher and has a lot of pace, but a well schooled defence can isolate him and keep him quiet.

Do you guys think Falcao will score consistently for United?

    I was going to say...Chelski, a prestigious club? < :laugh11:

Not right away. I'm not sure if anybody is going to score consistently for them for the next little while even when they start winning.

He's too good not to get them goals but this United team is lacking confidence...big time. They better hope he stays injury free because he's coming off a bad injury.

I think fitness will only play a part role. Tactics and how the team plays as a unit might be more important. Is he going to play up front with Van Persie or beside him? Will Falcao be the "target guy" or will Van Persie still be the one getting the tap in type goals?

Under the current circumstances I don't think he's taking too many phone calls.

Got a wager with an Arsenal fan that I work with that Charlie Austin will score more goals (all competitions) than Danny Wellcrap this season. Charlie is already one-up. I'm confident.
