He's already stopped Martinez, sparked him with one big right hand, but Martinez got the title shot. But you won't read about it in the US papers.
i hope the main event showcases at least 1 fighter from the entire card that is among the top 1000 fighters p4p on the planet
Back to boxing..Martinez very very dangerous, especially early. You can get good money on him doing the business in rounds 1-3. After that, he is a 4-1 dog. If Frampton is any good at all, he should repeat the result if not the performance of their earlier meeting, i.e. win. Martinez, between that fight and now, went on the road and beat the Jap that had done such a job on Rendall Munroe. Martinez has a lot of decent wins on the road.

Round 1. Not a lot happening, Frampton shaded it. Martinez looking to land with heavy body shots and telegraphed rights. Frampton the looser and more languid of the two, shows a better jab and more variety. 10-9 Framps
Round 2 A bit of mauling, Martinez trying to rabbit punch. Frampton doubles up on his work and Martinez tends to cover up, wait and come back with something clubbing. Martinez is coming in straight lines, no real guile, and when Frampton moves his hands Martinez is forced to cover up, wait, and then wait some more as he plods after Frampton, could be that KM is waiting to go to work but I don't see it, yet. Frampton moving his hands more, 10-9 Frampton, 20-18 so far.
Round 3: Martinez blowing hard between rounds....Frampton misses with a right and a left, Frampton is spreading his legs, his wide stance belies his intentions, but he does get through with heavier shots. Clash of heads, low blow by Martinez, Martinez gets through with a couple jabs but is timed by a beautiful right. 10-9 Frampton, 30-27. I think Martinez better start going for it,
Round 4: More of the same, Frampton did the work, Martinez waiting, trying to club. Frampton gets in a low blow of his own, Martinez plods after him. Frampton is extending his left arm, inviting Martinez to rush past it so he can nail him coming in. 10-9, 40-36. Frampton a bit naughty with the head there.
Round 5: Martinez pulls an Arthur Abraham, nailing Frampton the back of the head after a slip by Frampton. This is getting messy. Ref doesn't take point off, calls them both in for a chat. Too much in-holding now, Frampton doesn;t need this. Framptons accuracy has been poor all night, those missed rights might cost him as the night wears on. BOOM! Down goes Martinez on a huge right, Bell saves him. 10-8, 50-44. As I said earlier, he held the left out, asked Martinez to rush past it, Martinez obliged and the uppercut set up the rest,.
Round 6. Martinez chasing, Frampton moving and jabbing, starting to see the first signs of Frampton, maybe, beginning to tee off on his man, he looks far younger, faster, looser and more confident. Martinez is plodding and mechanical, seems to have no plan B at all. 10-9, 60-53, MArtinez now needs a knockdown or stoppage,
Round 7 This is Martinez best round so far. He is putting the pedal down, getting much closer, gambling. Everytime Frampton lets his hands go, he finds the mark, Martinez stalking, pushing out heavy shots. Frampton might be resting. When Frampton misses with the right, he is smart enuff to come back with the left, and worse yet, Martinez lets him by being too hesitant. Not too much going on, Frampton a bit more accurate perhaps. KM traps Frampton on ropes and they trade. Might give KM that round but he put a lot into it. 69-63
Round 8 Gonzalez pressing. He lands a heavy right but takes three in return, faster lighter shots. Framps works off the ropes, quality vs pressure, Framptons quality shading it a bit. Good ring generalship from Frampton. Martinez bleeding from that eye. Frampton doing the boxing. Easy to be swayed by the pressure of KM but CF is doing the boxing. Probably 10-9 Frampton, 79-72 after 8
Round 9 Martinez rushes out to start the round. He presses for the first minute but he has eaten 4 right hands now in that same minute. Frampton works well off the ropes, Martinez plods after him. Martinez lands a huge body shot, thudding. Comes back with left off the ropes, Now frampton is cut. Cracking right off the ropes by Frampton, just as Martinez was beginning to exert some pressure. 10-9 Frampton. 89-81, three rounds left.
Round 10. Bit of grappling for the first minute, Frampton initiates it. Frampton doesn;'t need to trade with this guy but he does anyways. Some good body work, heavy stuff, by KM but Frampton snaps his head back with a cracking shot, great right. I wonder if KM is getting to him with the body shots. Frampton finds the right hand again,.Martinez warned for leaning on and landing to the kidneys as he does so, Frampton trying to outgame him. KM round. 99-91, two left. Martinez will be relying as much on Frampton now as himself. IF Frampton obliges, Martinez might JUST get back into this.
Round 11. Martinez pressing but he is just too plodding. Frampton takes a left, gives a left back, they swap rights, Ironically Frampton doing his best work off the ropes. Frampton lights him up with a brace of combinations, puts his man right back in his heels, steals the round, takes the initiative right off Martinez, that might seal it. He just needs to get through the next round. 109-100
12th and Final Round Both men trading now. Frampton wants to finish in style, KM needs a knockdown. Frampton matches him shot for shot, Martinez still plodding. Frampton lights him up. Martinez barely survives it. Frampton wins the round clearly. 119-109, has to be unanimous, anything else is a travesty.
