Foreman's Pushing was INTIMIDATING, DEMORALIZING...It was For OFFENSIVE Purposes...He Shoved Grown Ass Men around like CHILDREN & Kept Them on the End of His POWERFUL Blows...

Floyd Pushes Off for DEFENSIVE Purposes, Strictly...

Foreman Was Showing he was MORE Of a MAN Than his Opponent, Whereas Floyd's Push Off Motive is Completely Different...

Plus Foreman was the only guy able to really do that to Smokin Joe... Bonavena did it here and there (especially their first fight) but nowhere near to the same extent

Even THE WAY Foreman Shoved was BALLSY...

He'd Simply EXTEND his Arms & 2 Hand SHOVE the Shit Out of You (Usually in the Vicinity of your SHOULDERS or CHEST), w/the PALMS of his Opened Glove...Thing is, Foreman was Basically DEFENSELESS, Everytime he Shoved...If You were BRAVE Enough to Unload as he Attempted to Extend his Arms, Go For It...If You Wanted to Duck or Sidestep his Attempted Shove, Have @ It...

Unlike Floyd, Foreman was Actually VULNERABLE when he Shoved, Despite how INTIMIDATING it Was, when he Did It...Conversely, Floyd's Always in a PROTECTIVE Mode, when he Shoves & it's Usually in the Face/Neck Region...

All Shoving SHOULDN'T Be Created Equal...

Sounds a bit racialist to me.

You live in the past, but I want to live in a world where all shovilates, shovests, and their children are looked at as equal.

As with any cheating - if its pushing for the purposes of helping you beat the other guy up I'm all for it; if its pushing for the purposes of escapology I want points taken, purses held, bans meted out, public disapprobation.

This pretty much sums it up. :)

It's the pussy devon-alexander-type cheating, whether it's holding, pushing, etc that I cannot tolerate.

I don't know if he pushes off, but his is a prime example of the mentality which leads to incessant holding, pushing, etc.

From the opening bell, Alexander is looking to slow things down and not get hit.

He's like a toddler playing soccer who feels the need to reach down and grab the ball and place it just right before kicking it.

Ray Rice should have pushed. He'd be hated by Hut but still in a job. Instead he relied on clean effective punching and nobody likes him :dunno:

If Ray Lewis and Stalwart and countless other examples are any indication, Rice will have a new job in no time.
