    Based On???...

Certainly NOT the Respective Bouts Golovkin Had w/Stevens & the 10 ALLEGEDLY Better Fighters You Speak Of...

It's NOT Even Like Stevens Put Forth a HEROIC Effort, Necessarily, but Compared to the Damsel in Distress "Performances" of the Other Guys GGG's Faced, Stevens by Faaaaaaaaaaaar Put Up the MOST "Fight"...& it's NOT Even Close, Really...

Guys ASSuming the Fetal Position in Neutral Corners, LOOKING for a Place to Lay Down or Starting their Menstrual Cycles Mid-Round....For Better or Worse, That WASN'T Curtis Stevens...

REED HYPED Allan Green for Sure, Because he Made Frequent Visits to Dallas Area Gyms....REED Hasn't Hyped Curtis Stevens @ All, However, Brother X...

REED Predicted Stevens Would Give GGG the Sternest "Test" He'd Ever Had to that Point in his Career, Which Stevens DID...Granted, GGG Whipped that Ass w/Little to NO Fuss, but Again, @ Least Stevens TRIED...

Stevens Certainly DIDN'T Get in there & Immediately SHIT Himself, like Every Other Dude GGG has Faced Does...Soooo, If GGG's as GREAT as Ya'll Think he Is, You Should Have RESPECT for Curtis Stevens, from REED's P.O.V...More than Anything, Stevens Shows how SHITTY GGG's Resume is, Which is THE Point of Contention Golovkin Naysayers Have w/Him...

    THIS!

And his win over M.A. Rubio isn't going to do much for him either.

GGG has disposed of every opponent he's faced to date and 99.99% of the time has looked meticulous and calculating in doing so, but we cannot call him a great fighter because he has not beaten any great fighters. The only way we are going to gain further understanding of how good he could be is if he moves up in weight and starts disposing of fighters who many of us believe will pose him the biggest threat. So as of now, GGG is a good fighter, but not great.

To be honest, if GGG moved up to 168 and beat the hell out of the likes of Chavez Jr and Carl Froch, he will still get tons of criticism. If he beats the hell out of Andre Ward though, we might have a case for calling him a potential great fighter, but is Andre Ward a great fighter? He hasn't beaten any great fighters.

Dunno man, Stevens pretty much bitched up against Gaybox, just in a different way. It was frustrating to watch, he flat out turtled and just threw the odd hail mary "counter" punch, in the hope of a 1 in a million KO.

    That's just It...

All the Other Guys, Supposedly BETTER than Stevens, DIDN'T Even Do That, Bro...

After Getting Dropped Late in Round 2, Stevens PAINFULLY Realized he was Outgunned, but he STILL Made SOME Effort to Throw SOMETHING, As You've Noted...The Others Almost LITERALLY Morphed into TERRIFIED Teen Agers @ Camp Crystal Lake, as Jason Voorhees Chased them Down on Friday the 13th...FALLING Over Themselves, Meekly ACCEPTING the Canvas &/or an Early Doors KO Loss as a Place of Refuge....

Huuuuuuuuuuuge Diffference in How Stevens Fought GGG, Compared to the Guys that were HIGHER Ranked than Him..

While Stevens Certainly DIDN'T "Go Out on his Shield", Either, he Came SIGNIFICANTLY CLOSER to Doing So than ANYBODY GGG's Ever Faced...For the Better Portion of the 1st 2 Rounds, Stevens Basically Fought on EVEN Terms w/GGG...He PRESSURED Him Primarily, Jabbed w/Him & Fired Back, when GGG Landed Heavy Shots...

Who Else has DARED to Do as Much, vs. GGG???...

If GGG moved up and beat Froch he'd get a shitload of credit (he would probably win, too, as Froch is pretty much done and done at this point). Froch is a lot better than Chavez Jr - can't really see how you can put the two in the same sentence unless that sentence reads 'Froch is much fucking better than Chavez Jr'. And Ward, for all that I cannot abide him, has pretty much established himself as the top guy in a division which includes very good fighters like Froch and Kessler. He's a cunt, but an effective one.

I don't know why I named Chavez Jr alongside Froch. Chavez is garbage. As you said though, GGG would probably beat this version of Froch, but that's where GGG would get criticised because beating this version of Froch would not be the greatest of achievements.

Ggg would stevens ass. Wasn't competitive at all.

If GGG beat Froch I would rate it pretty highly. Froch is months from retirement but he's still a tough bastard and has proven repeatedly that only really good fighters beat him - he's only lost clearly once in a long reign of top level fights.

I think it would be an excellent achievement for GGG if he was to beat Froch. We know Froch is a tough son of a bitch and not easy to fight against. I just know if GGG was to win that fight, people would say shit like "oh, Froch's been steadily declining anyway and GGG is a lot fresher than Froch." You know, shit like that, and I've read that GGG beats bigger guys up in sparring with relative ease too. I know George Groves sparred GGG and said do not give this guy any room to work with because he can punch and is cute.

Right up there with Max Kellermans ATG line about "Derrick Gainer outboxing Corrales after 1 round"

Gainer got sparked in the 2nd.

I think "Geale" put up a better fight than Stevens for as long as he lasted. He was sort out of outhustling Gaybox in spots for a couple of rounds until he got waxed.

That's a total non-sequitur, how and ever, saying that Curtis Stevens vs GGG was "different" from the other GGG fights right up the moment Stevens got dropped {This moment occurring as late in the fight as the 2nd round } remains most akin to Kellermans infamous goof about Daisy Chain Gainer outboxing Corrales.

It's hard to overlook the fact that stevens just got thoroughly embarrassed and made to look like A rank amateur by a chinless Frenchman in a 8 foot ring
