Given all the stellar reviews, I'm intrigued.
    Probably one for hardcore movie-buffs...

    You seen this yet?

  3. Yes.
Went to see at the theater...with a girlfriend of mine who's mad for Tom Hardy.

Interesting...but not as good as anyone makes out.
But then, I know fuck-all about what good-=acting is nowadays.

Ah dinnae SEE hoo a film aboot a brain damaged, baldy man is gonnae be much cop. There's only so much plot line concerning a gadge who is noo employed as the company mascot, wears a cap wi' a comedy propellor on it and dances aboot whilst his colleagues throw bananas at him.

Very difficult to rate, since he's in the car and on the phone the whole time. Shit keeps piling up and it's a brilliant take on the moral issues that come with the decisions we make in our live. You feel with Hardy here and you find yourself thinking what the hell would you do know in this situation.

People who fall asleep easily if the action is not constantly on marvel's avengers' level might not like it. If you like movies that are different and thought-provoking, you will probably love it.

I thought it was brilliant or at least very good.

Sorry about the information value of the first post, it's just hard to not give any spoilers when talking about it. You should definitely check it out.

I don't get it either and fail to see, what it has to do with the movie.

Just watched this. I was expecting more. The acting was okay, but for someone who's life is crumbling all around him, Hardy was pretty calm about it. Maybe a tear or two, but never any full on rage emotion. This definately was a let down for me.

    5.9/10

Yeah, looks like I got this one right just going off the trailer. Never planned to watch it.

I enjoyed the minimalist story/setting, natural dialogue, it had great acting by Hardy and several emotionally powerful scenes, and it's a well made film from a technical point of view. I just liked it bro. What is it that bothered you about it?

He's calm because his mind is made up on what he has to do. He's a man of integrity and a man of his word.:bears:

i'm not talking about what he has to do. I'm talking about his wife leaving him, his business partner not knowing what to do, his whole company firing him, and all that other stuff. When the movie started his life wasn't crumbling around him. His life started crumbling around him after the movie started and the consequences of his actions set in. And from there his reactions to those consequences didn't add up to me. He should've been much more upset and distraught.

  20. I wet to see it with one of the girls I work with, who gets wet for Tom Hardy...I thought it was good, well-paced, and liked the way the others on the end of the phone were falling apart as well as he was.
    Overrated though, as usual.

The Expendables III was better.

Not everyone deals with adversity the same. Some guys scream and yell others internalize it. It may be easier to act out or show the former by screaming and banging on the steering wheel, but sometimes it's the more subdubed performance that really shows an actors depth.

Okay, you can disagree with me now.

Yeah sometimes. This isnt one of those times. Hardy could have given a much better performance.
