Thankfully they called all those time outs at the end of the game. Otherwise Seattle would have just downed the ball.

I had Seattle (-8.) That last field goal gave me the W!

The best part of the surprising start and play of Tony Romo will be watching them fall apart at the end of November then crash and burn in December.

REED Made a Point Sunday, Illustrating Why there's a Good Chance of that NOT Happening...

Above All that, Scott Linehan is the New Offensive Coordinator & has Placed a MUCH Higher Emphasis on the Run, Which LESSENS Romo's Opportunities for Brain Farts, & Eventually Forces Defenses to Guard Dez Bryant 1-On-1...Win-Win...

Last Week, Dez Drew Single Coverage in OT, No Less, BECAUSE Of Linehan's COMMITTMENT to the Run, Early...Usually, Romo Fires that Pass Whenever he Feels Like it, Dez is Double/Triple Covered & it's an INT or Pick-6...This Year, "America's Team", YOUR Dallas Cowboys Run, Run, Run & Find the Single Covered Guys (Terrance Williams CHIEF Among Them), While Dez is Doubled...But Inevitably, the Defense is FORCED to Put an Extra Guy in the Box, Singling Up Dez, & Watching him Do What he Does...

Sounds Simple Enough, but Until Linehan Arrived, the Boys Straight Up NEGLECTED the Run...& By Neglecting the Run, they Had SHORTER Possessions, Which EXPOSED their Defense, Over the Course of Games...The Thing is, DeMarco Murray AIN'T Doing Anything New, Really...It's NOT Like he's IMPROVED, in REED's Opinion...He's just Been Given More OPPORTUNITY & his O-Line Pushes Guys Around, Opening Holes You Could Drive a Car Through...It's NOT Like the Defense has Improved Either...Hell, Man for Man, it's Actually WORSE, on Paper, but w/"America's Team", YOUR Dallas Cowboys, OWNING Time of Possession, the Defense ISN'T On the Field Nearly as Much...

Romo's ALWAYS Been a Gun Slinger, a POOR MAN's Brett Favre Wannabe...Linehan's Gameplanning is SAVING Romo from Himself....

Still EARLY Though...Jason Garrett's ALREADY Talking about Lessening Murray's Carries, but REED Expects Joseph Randle and Lance Dunbar to Find the SAME Holes Murray Does...

Bad things go to worse for Adrian Peterson. Guy just needs to lock himself in a room for a year and come back out when things settle down.

Adrian Peterson is the QUINTESSENTIAL "Good Ol', Down Home, Honest, Hardworking Country Boy"...

REED's Always ADMIRED How GENUINE Dude Is, his LACK of a Manipulative Nature...Unfortunately, That Way of Thinking is Often Accompanied by a DEARTH of All Around Intellect...REED's a Huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge Fan, but Adrian Peterson Simply ISN'T a Very Bright Individual...

It's NOT that Athletes w/6-7 Kids AND 6-7 Baby Momma's just DON'T Give a Fuck, it's That they're Not SMART Enough to Prevent Themselves from Knocking Up Gold Diggers...Has ANY Athlete Banged More HOT Bitches than Derek Jeter, in the Last 20 or So Years???....How Many Kids & Baby Momma's Does Jeter Have???...

Peterson Likes SHARING his Dick; REED Gets It...But he's Not SMART Enough to Control his Level of Reproduction...

There was a Recent Story Questioning the LEGITIMACY of Peterson's "All-Day" Foundation, Alluding to Monies NOT Being Allocated Quite like they SAY...if, If, IF This is True, REED Would Bet ANYTHING Peterson Turned the Company Over to Someone he TRUSTS, who's Doing Underhanded Shit Unbeknownst to Adrian, w/the Books...

Peterson's NOT a Child Abuser Either...He Disciplined his Children The SAME Way he was Disciplined & was UPFRONT & HONEST w/their Mothers, w/HOW he Disciplined Them...

This Latest Incident FULLY Encapsulates What REED is Saying...Before TAKING a Drug Test, Peterson ADMITTED to "Smoking some Weed"???...What the Fuck, Dog???...He was GULLIBLE Enough to Think Honesty was the BEST Policy, in that Instance...REED GUARANfuckingTEES Nobody is MORE Surprised by the Fallout of this Recent Revelation than Peterson Is...Nonetheless:...

Yeah, he's not the savviest dude in the world. That's for sure. It's hard for me not to feel bad for the guy. Probably went a little overboard on his kid, but I don't think he should be the de facto face of child abuse, when there's way worse shit going on elsewhere.

Ths is the year of the comeback. How many times this year have you seen a score that was an absolute blowout in the second quarter. Then all the sudden you hear about the game going into OT, coming down to the wire, or the team that was getting dusted coming back and winning.

No lead is safe. For the people that think the NFL is fixed (not me) this is is the year that exemplifies that. How can so many goddamn teams not be able to hold a lead? It's like the WWE on turf. They were down and out and almost dead but somehow got off the mat and finished off the guy who was killing them.

NFL is the new NBA. We have refs deciding almost every other game, and they obviously have a mandate from up above. Make the games close and give the people something to cheer for. Protect the stars.........if in doubt, throw a flag.

Some teams are still so shitty they can't even take advantage of that.

The shills in the announcing booths are the worst. With the money involved nowadays, they obviously are afraid for their jobs if they say ANYTHING negative. If I hear the phrase "The NFL got it right this time", once more.....I'm gonna burst a fucking vein.

On top of it all, they all now employ a consultant referee in the booth, so they can tell us on every bullshit call........"The refs got it right this time. Did you see the way that pass rusher looked hard at Tom Brady, before he was blocked into him by the offensive lineman".

    Rant Over!

It reminds me of this recent article from the onion:

ESPN Gives On-Air Personalities List Of 6 Pre-Approved Opinions

BRISTOL, CT—Following the network’s three-week suspension of analyst
Bill Simmons over comments regarding NFL commissioner Roger Goodell,
ESPN reportedly sent all on-air personalities a comprehensive list
Wednesday of the six pre-approved opinions they may express during
broadcasts. “Effective immediately, all on-air talent will be restricted
to voicing only the half-dozen sports-related viewpoints officially
authorized and endorsed by ESPN,” read the internal company memo,
advising all employees to adhere strictly to the new protocol or risk
punishment and possible termination. “The network-sanctioned opinions
are as follows: 1. The NFL has become a passing league; 2. LeBron James
is a great basketball player; 3. The sport of soccer is growing in the
    United States; 4. Peyton Manning is a future first-ballot Hall of Famer;
    5. Rory McIlroy is the new face of golf; 6. The MLB playoffs are
incredibly exciting. Thank you for your cooperation.” At press time,
ESPN had reportedly revised the list to three opinions after receiving
feedback from the NFL front office.

We all saw the picture. That was abuse, not discipline. That can't even be argued.

It Most Definitely Can & WILL Be Argued...You're Aware there's Going to Be a COURT CASE, Right???...

@ the Core of "Abuse" is INTENT...Sorry, but the Photographs DON'T Prove Intent...What DOES is the Fact Peterson INFORMED the Mother of What He Did, Why he Did & to the Extent he Did, After the Incident Occured...

"Abuse" is a Cut & Dried, Black & White Matter...What Adrian Peterson Did ISN'T...

If I meet you on the street and attack you with a baseball bat and kill you, even though I only wanted to hurt you, not kill you, I'm getting charged with murder, regardless of my intent.

When you leave marks like that on a 4 year old's body, that is abuse. Period. Confessing that he did it doesn't absolve him from anything.

It is a clear cut case of abuse no matter how you try to excuse it.

In WHAT Way is your Hypothetical Analogous to a Father-Son Scenario???...

Adrian Peterson was DISCIPLINING his CHILD, Not "Abusing" Him...No Different than How His OWN Parents Disciplined Him, as a Youth....

The FORM of Discipline May have Been Harsh, but Peterson's Intent Wasn't That of "Abuse", as Evidenced by his Correspondence w/the Child's Mother, DETAILING What he Did, How he Did It & WHY, Shortly After the Incident...

This Case is Anything BUT "Clear Cut"...

So because that's the way he was brought up, that means it's not abuse? That's ridiculous.

Give me one acceptable reason to beat a fucking 4 year old with a stick. A 4 year old.

That's way beyond discipline. It's abuse, and it's disgusting.

No, What's "Ridiculous" is TRYING to Compare a Man DISCIPLINING his Child w/a Looooong, Thin Strip from a Tree/Bush, to Attacking Another w/a Baseball Bat...

"Switch" Punishment is a REGIONAL/CULTURAL Practice...If You Grew Up in the Midwest &/or the Souf', You Got Switched or @ Least KNEW Many who Did...& The Vast Majority of Those that Got Switched Recognize its Intent was DISCIPLINARY...Just Because YOU Don't See it as Such is Meaningless...

Switching is an ESCALATING Form of f Discipline...Very RARELY Does a Parent IMMEDIATELY Resort to It...Talks, Verbal Warnings, Confiscating Toys/Electronics, Spankings, etc., ALL Typically Precede Switching...

REED's Never Switched his Children, Nonetheless, REED's Had MORE Than Enough Exposure to the Practice to KNOW it's Not "Abuse"...

You keep bringing up that because it's a 'cultural' thing, or that's how he was brought up, as if that somehow means it's still not abuse. It doesn't matter if this has been the way things have been done for hundreds of years, it is still abuse, not discipline.

Tell me Reed, which one of these marks isn't abuse?

That's a God damn 4 year old. The kid is 4 years old. He's a fucking pre-schooler. If you can't find a better way to 'discipline' a 4 year old child, then you should have your kids taken away from you.

You can make all the excuses you want, they're all bullshit. It doesn't matter if people in the south do it. It doesn't matter if you were raised that way. It is abuse, period. If it were done to a 15 year old, it would be abuse. But the fact that it was done to a helpless 4 year old makes it criminal, and makes Peterson a cowardly scumbag.

I have no problem with spankings or the use of a switch for discipline. It was my Grandmother's favorite deterrent to keep us in line. As a parent myself, I could never use it, but I can certainly understand the practice.

My issue is the multiple lashes to the leg of a 4 year old. That cannot be mistaken as parental punishment or deterrent. There is anger involved that goes well beyond that point in my opinion.

From the perspective of a parent and as a former kid that got spanked at home, school and even church, there is absolutely no way what AP did can be excused as an act of discipline.

Sloooow ya Roll, Hegman...So Peterson's a "Cowardly Scumbag" for DISCIPLINING his Child in a Matter YOU Don't Agree w/???...Whatever...He Used a Form of Punishment that's Used by MILLIONS Of Parents, Even Today, Particularly in the Part of the Country where Peterson Grew Up & Resides...

Unlike YOU, REED Looks @ the ENTIRETY of the Scenario...Peterson's Texts to the Mother & his Immediate Interaction w/Police is Quite Revealing...

    1. The Switching Occurred in MAY of This Year; the Fact that Baby Momma Pressed Charges in September REEKS of a Disgruntled Woman, but REED Digresses....

    2. The 4 Year Old Pushed Another of Peterson's Children Off of a Bicycle...Prior to that, the Same 4 Year SCRATCHED the Face of a 5 Year Old Peterson Child & was Merely SPANKED for That...Like REED Said, Switching it an ESCALATED Form of Punishment...

    3. Text to Mother, "I Felt Bad After the Fact When I Notice the Switch was Wrapping Around his Thigh.", "Got him in the Nuts Once I Noticed. But I Felt So Bad N I'm All Tearing that Butt Up When Needed" "I Start Putting Them in Timeout N Save the Whoopings for Needed Memories." "Never Do I Go Overboard! But All my Kids will Know, Daddy Has a Big Heart, but Don't Play No Games when it Comes to Actin' Right"...

    4. Direct Quote from his Interview w/Police, In an interview with Houston police, Peterson was very matter-of-fact and calm about the incident, appearing to believe he had done nothing wrong and reiterating how much he cared about his son and only used “whoopings” or “spankings” as a last resort. He offered up information that the police didn’t have and was incredulous when asked if some of the numerous wounds and marks on the child were from an extension cord, saying, “Oh, no, I’d never hit my child with an extension cord. I remember how it feels to get whooped with an extension cord. I’d never do that.”
Peterson also said, “Anytime I spank my kids, I talk to them before, let them know what they did, and of course after.”

Peterson later told police that the marks on his son’s buttocks were similar to the marks any of his other children get when he “spanks them with a switch,” but that the mark on the child’s leg from when the switch “wrapped around his thigh” was more severe than anything he had ever done in the past.

Peterson said he knew that his son had a doctor’s appointment scheduled for when he returned home and that the doctor would discover the injuries. Peterson added that if he felt like he was “really wrong for what I did, or had any ill intent, there’s no way I would have let him get on that plane.” He went on to say, “I have nothing to hide, but I also understand when a child has marks like that on his leg, they have to report that.”

When Peterson was asked how he felt about the incident, he said, “To be honest with you, I feel very confident with my actions because I know my intent.” He also described the incident as a “normal whooping” in regards to the “welps” on the child’s buttocks, but that he felt bad immediately when he saw the injuries on the child’s legs. Peterson estimated he “swatted” his son “10 to 15” times, but he’s not sure because he doesn’t “ever count how many pops I give my kids.”

Peterson went on to reiterate again how much he loves all his kids, and only “whoops” them because he wants them to do right. Toward the end of the interview, Peterson said he would reconsider using switches in the future, but said he would never “eliminate whooping my kids . . . because I know how being spanked has helped me in my life.”

So Yeah, Instead of Looking @ EVERYTHING, Let's just Label Him a COWARD...1 Thing REED Knows for CERTAIN is NOBODY is Gonna Step Down from their Soap Boxes & RAISE Peterson's Kid for Him...

    REED :wack:
