Why did the ref stop the fight?

Neither of them was attacked when they were down however. I counted seven punches by the Croatian after knocking the ref down, before the judges interfered. Tyson's bite was more grotesque, but this was far more life-threatening

Needless to say this guy will be banned for life. Not sure what the laws are like in Croatia but in many countries there would also be a good possibility of jail time as well.

Ref can be so biased and corrupt without any accountability for their actions that I won't be so quick to blame the young boxer. Sometimes the only way to have any form of justice is to take it into your own hands.

In the first round the red guy seemed to get the better of it, pushing the blue guy back. Early in the second, the blue guy got a warning from clinching and pushing head down. Then the red guy bullied him to corner, but the blue guy dropped him on his knees with a counter. Soon after the red guy got two more standing counts and the bout was stopped (the counts apart from the KD were completely unnecessary, on other words they were normal amateur counts)
