I definitely agree that Mancini wins. I guess my question is more, does Rios last the distance or can Ray get him outta there?

Do you think they would want to make it last forever, just the two of them together?

Rios I'd bigger and Ray not gonna be able to hurt him. My pick is rios. At 135 rios was a killer.

there is a big size difference here... Mancini was a real lightweight, not a modern lightweight (i.e. welterweight)

Mancini was a better fighter, for sure, but size has to play at least some role here.

Only role I see size playing here is Rios possibly lasting the distance, yet getting beaten up.

I only see size as a factor when two fighters are relatively close in class.

In this case, they're not close in class. Mancini was SEVERAL levels better than Rios.

This isn't Miguel Acosta, or Urbano Antillion we're talking about here.

We're talking about a guy who got pushed to 11 rounds with super bum John Murray. And you question his chances against Ray Mancini???

    Mancini beats up Rios.

Ray was only beaten twice in his prime. By one of the greatest offensive fighters that ever lived (Arguello), and by Bramble, who was a MUCH better technician than Rios.

Really? First of all I can think of thousands of examples where this couldn't possibly be true.

Second, you really think there was "that" much separation between rios' ability and mancini's? You act like compared to mancini, rios was just a mere mortal.

And third, mancini's style was bullish. It's not like he was Pacquiao or pbf in there. His whole game would most certainly be compromised against larger and stronger opponents.
