That was my first thought. I thought I might have murdered someone. Then Jimmy told me(erroneously) on facebook that I had eaten a hamburger that night. That's even worse. I'd have rather killed someone than eaten a poor animal. j/k

It might have been one case where he took away one woman's womb after killing her. That's pretty grim.

I'm going for a 0-0 draw. I'll add a draw in as part of my accumulator. Do you think Eire will beat America?

Which part o' America, laddie... Brazil, Canada, Belize... ? Naw, Ah'm just kilting. Ah do think the States has a tip top team presently, one which can compete wi' anybodeh (as proven in recent World Cup), so Ah'm thinking:

    R. of Ireland 1 - 2 USA

As far as the Auld Enemy... Scoatland 5 England nil, o' course.

The USA has scored in each of their previous five internationals (W1 D2 L2) whilst Eire has lost once, drawn once and won three of their previous five internationals. The USA has arguably played the better opposition though (Colombia,Honduras, Ecuador, Czech Rep, Belgium), compared to Eire (Scotland, Germany, Gibraltar, Georgia, Oman). I think a good bet is for the USA and Eire to both score in the match.

There's quite a few interesting matches today. It's unfortunate most of them are being played at the same time.

Obviously German-Spain and Argentina-Portugal are interesting. While I'd like see Germany get a win over the Spaniards, zee krauts have been in poor form recently and rarely put much effort into friendlies to begin with. I think Spain will win. Argentina has much more depth than Portugal so with almost unlimited subs they should get the better of the Portuguese. The media is of course playing up the Ronaldo-Messi angle.

I'll pay attention to the results of the Scotland-England and Ireland-USA match and catch the highlights afterward but I don't think I can really watch 4 games at once.

France-Sweden and Chile-Uruguay could also be good.

I wouldn't be shocked if America won. They can beat plenty of good teams on their day and Eire don't have Keano tonight either.

I think the Scots will give England fits.

'I've spoken to a few of the younger players to make sure they are ready for the start of the game because if you're not it can take you by surprise. Everyone in the game knows this stadium and it's reputation for being an intimidating place to come if you're not used to it and it certainly was when i played here so i wanted to pass on my experience and make sure they are ready for it. I've been to grounds like in Istanbul where the atmosphere is more aggressive but this is more 'football-intimidating''. - Wayne Rooney, yesterday

Luckily for said young players, CP will be full of a bunch of teuchters & Ayrshiremen tonight - not 60,000 fans of THE CELTIC FOOTBALL CLUB.

I'd love to be at Celtic Park tonight, just to soak in the atmosphere. I bet it'll be an indescribable feeling.

I think Billeh is going to try and run on the pitch in just his kilt with the Glasgow Rangers colours on it and a Hoonds of Hounslow flag in one arm raised above his head.

Whit does the Hoons o' Hoonslow flag look like? A pint o' stoot and a syringe? A big pair o' Les Ferdinand's underpants?

On the Scotland theme... if the official inaugral match is taken as being 1873 (which the Sasnachs won, like) then every foor years aftaewards, the winners should be deemed as World Cup winners up until 1930. If this is the case, like, Scotland were World Cup winners in 1877, 1881, 1885 (draw - cup retained), 1889, 1897 ***Germany then spoil fitba fer near twenty year*** and 1928.

That puts us at 6 World Cups, one above Brazil, like.
