I remember that film boring me to death. I can't stand that prick Bill Murray. Only redeeming thing about that film was the opening close-up shot of Scarlett Johansson's ass crack.

That's real life, innit. Things happen that are nearly hilarious but aren't quite, that are nearly profound but aren't quite, the right thing's never quite said, things don't quite come together. Two people wanna bridge a distance but wanting to doesn't do it. Real life is kinda boring.

Sabotage: 6.5/10 FUN movie...interesting movie for the most part....a special group of DEA agents try to steal 10 million dollar from one of the mejican cartels..they have this perfect plan the money is filter out..but when they go to retrieve it someone had beaten them to the CASH....DEA and Mejican cartel ain't buying it...DEA has 'em under investigation for months...but find no evidence to charge 'em..so they have to reinstate arnold and his entire team...then the Mejican cartels sent out guatemalian special forces to kill 'em off one at a time...or did they??...anyway good movie...till the last 20-30 minutes it falls of a bit.

Zero Dark Thirty Okay film that was like 25 minutes too long. Dragged a bit at the beginning and too much in the middle. Smashing last 30 minutes though. Chastain was decent. Good, but not great. 8/10

St. Vincent I should had known better: Bill Murray is the star, but critics were praising this film so much I gave it a try. Formulaic predictable film about a cold, selfish, old prick (Bill Murray channeling himself) who reluctantly shows he has a heart as he bonds with the new neighbor's young son while babysitting him. My wife found it too depressing (wasn't it supposed to be funny?) and walked out after 30 minutes. 5/10

    Annie (2014)
Watched this with my daughters and was curious about they will rate it since they watched the previous versions and they loved the Disney tv version from 1999. This modern remake with Jamie Fox as the tycoon, Cameron Diaz as Miss Hannigan and Quvenzhane Willis as Annie fails in so many areas that I don't know where to begin: the songs were 'updated' and lost the punch they used to have. New songs were added that surprisingly sounded better than the cannibalized ones. The movie lacks the fun factor and most of all a heart. This is a by-the-numbers lame attempt to bring a politically correct black Annie. Oh, Cameron Diaz sexual advances to males are out of place. The new Annie actress did a nice job, but you can see the obvious lip synching in the 'Its a Hard Knock Life' and other songs. Foxx was okay and Diaz was awful. Some characters were badly developed and the climatic 'action' car chase was not only unfitting but also plain wrong (yeah after all the political correctness they made a black couple as the evil baddies even though they just showed up near the end). Verdict: watchable, but forgettable film and ONLY for little girls (my youngest daughter loved it, while my teen & me were not impressed)6/10

I've watched the two Hobbit films back to back and I couldn't believe how much I liked them. 5/5 for both, but I was expecting a bit more from the ending of the second film. Nonetheless, I can't wait for the third film to come out!

Ill give it 7/10 I thought it was ~30 mins too long, Gyllenhaal was creepy yet comical at the same time or maybe he just lost too much weight, he looks very odd.

Alfie -5/10. Held my interest as a time capsule of how totally alien and backwards London seems in the mid 60s. And Cain is great in it. Horrid, unlikable main character, the lesson he ends up learning feels a bit hacknied....the transition in mood from from throw-away lightness to borderline harrowing was downright odd.

Hut, I'd recommend to you the Gus Van Sant trilogy of - "Gerry", "Elephant" and "Last Days". Nothing happens in any of them and consists mostly of scenes of people walking, mumbling to themselves and occasionally jerking off. A real slice of life.

    10/10

    Elephant was mediocre

    unlike, say

    The King Of Kong 7.5/10

An entertaining docu-drama about various nerdy dudes competing earnestly for the highest score ever on a Donkey Kong game (the actual arcade version from the early 80s) ... Definite good guy/bad guy dynamic. Includes a memorable scene featuring one of the bad guy's most pathetic, dorky sycophants doing all he can to sabotage the good guy upstart, essentially pwning himself for all time as one of the most transparent, passively churlish, uber-nerds ever recorded on film... Truly odd, awkward, dorky people who take this shit as serious as cancer... I've heard that there are some inaccuracies on this, but I don't care enough about the subject to be concerned... Definitely enjoyable for a casual viewer with no attachment to arcades.

No it wasn't. It fucking sucked. Never in my life did I look forward to an actual school shooting, then when I was trying to exist through scene after scene of ragged high schoolers walking, walking, walking through the halls and outskirts of their school grounds, broken up only by a couple of passive aggressive homo-erotic video game players.

    Slice of Life!

It wasn't good at all but it was preferable to Master and Commander as well as recordings made by Harry Chapin and Jeff Buckley:up:
