How Thou hast stunk! The new Ridley Scott biblical epic 'Exodus: Gods and Kings' has received a plague of bad reviews that no one saw coming. It has a lousy 32% rotten score after 81 critics reviews. Some are calling it the worst movie of the year. Ouch! Still the film will probably have a great opening since 96% of audience members want to watch it, but it might not be enough to warrant enough box office gold in the following weeks for the studio to built its own golden calf idol.

    here is one sample review

The trailer gave me a bad feeling. I love Ridley Scott, but I think he's been slipping for a few years now.

Yep. I saw that trailer and was instantly thinking I would pass on it. Just looked like a convoluted mess. Of course I would have peeped it had the reviews been positive but hearing that they weren't comes as no surprise.

Yup. I think that Scott's last great film was 2001's Black Hawk Down and his more recent films like The Counselor, Prometheus, Robin Hood and Body of Lies were huge letdowns coming from such an accomplished filmmaker of his caliber.

The reviews are so bad that I probably won't even watch it on redbox.

OMG! After all the reviews were tallied the rotten score of 32% has dropped even lower to 28%! Still the movie will unseat 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay' this weekend with an estimated $25 million which is not the kind of numbers of unbiblical proportions this $140 million production needs. Seriously, this film was expected to open somewhere between $55-$70 million. Less than a $50 million is bad news. Thank God (the real One, not the 8 year old pissed boy from the film) for foreign grosses this film might not flop entirely.

It's actually doing pretty good on IMDB with a nice score of 6.5. And for the record Body of Lies is one of my favorite films. I think the only disappointment is that nobody went to see it.

Son, IMBD's scores are as reliable as Bill Clinton's statements about Monica Lewinski.
